Buium being outside our top 10 really shows the depth of our pool. Any other team with a decently mobile 6'3-6'4 defenseman who put up 36 points in 43 NCAA games while playing good defense would be penciling him in for a second pair spot in their roster forecast. Here we have him behind Walman, Ed, AlJo, and Wallinder on the left side

Lombardi/Buium/Tuomisto/Gibson/AntJo are all super close to me

People bringing up Finnie is mind blowing to me. Is that based on anything other than him signing a piece of paper?

Decided on Buium. Not totally convinced he can take the next steps, but he has NHL size and impressive numbers in NCAA

Also want to point out for anyone that might not know: HockeyDB lists Johansson as 6'0 165lbs. He is actually 6'4 and 194lbs, as listed by his silver medal winning WJC team

Eliteprospects have him 6'4 and also at 196lbs.

It is not based on the fact he signed a piece of paper. I have seen him play as a Midget and early in his Jr career, he always had game, but I see lots of these kids over the years and played with many more, they just never get big enough to play NHL.

According to Petes, Finnie played this year well in the 190's pound range, at 6'1" he now has size and only being 19 next week, should have some room to grow bigger, so I expect he should be able to keep playing his game at the pro level.

I no longer live out west, so I don't get to see him anymore, but a good friend of mine who is a season ticket holder for the Regina Pats, does get to see him, he contends the wings do indeed have a NHL player in Finnie. (Apparently, the wings think so too)

I doubt Finnie will be top 6, but I think he will be one of those long serving grind-line type of players teams covet, I could be wrong, and his ceiling could be higher, as he did almost double his production this past season on a pretty weak team, we'll see if he can improve on his 0.95 PPG in his 19 year old season in the WHL, I am hoping he gets traded to a better team to so we can grade him better.

So... we're a few days away from the draft. Are we doing a new series of polls post-draft? Or just pretending like the draft didn't happen.
