Buys them time and takes the pressure off Tua from thinking about returning.

Jermaine Johnson (Edge) for Jets out with an Achillies. Injured at Tenn that about 2 years ago switched from grass to turf.

The Cowboys appear to have been caught abusing IR.

They put DT Jordan Phillips on IR citing a wrist injury and then signed a new guy. The media went to talk to Phillips later, and Phillips did his wrist is fine.

Phillips was absolutely terrible against the Saints. This looks like the Cowboys don't want to cut him but want to take him off of the roster to try out some replacements, so they put him on IR with a fake injury.

Starting the think the 49ers might have made some sort of Led Zeppelin style deal with the Devil last year, and the payments have come due

3 playoff games each of the last 3 years... all that extra football is going to catch up eventually. Not to mention Deebo, CMC, and Kittle have always battled injuries.

North looks tough this season with Min, GB, and Det. SEA took care of the games they should win so far thus putting themselves in good position at 3-0. SF can still make the PO, but might end up on the road. Going to need the depth to step up big. Did they get nail some of those comp picks they got losing Ryans, Saleh, and co. to other teams?

He has a groin injury that’s gonna put him out 6-8 weeks.

They won't. Stepping in on Tua would be a pandora's box that neither the union or league dares consider opening.

It's up to the player to make that decision. And unfortunately, Tua appears to be making the wrong one.

Screw Pandora's Box: a death on the field would be the thing that would immediately kill the Golden Goose that is the NFL. It's happened in high school multiple times and thank holy fate it hasn't happened in the NFL...yet (even though it nearly happened with Damar Hamlin for different reasons).

Players with three severe concussions in less than three years like Tagavailoa has had should not be playing. Period. It should be a season-ender, at the very least; you look at what MMA does with fighters who undergo severe knockouts (six-month stoppage of fights and an unaffiliated specialist to clear you after those six), and you wonder why it hasn't been applied to the NFL yet.

We don't want to see Tua go out like that, but ultimately it's going to be his choice. Miami could decide, like Tomlin did with Ryan Clark and not allow him to suit up and play in Denver. Would Miami, in essence shut him down for the season? Well, they are 1-2 so far. They have 2 more games before the bye week vs Tenn and NE and coming out get Indy. Tua needs to miss 4 games due to IR rules he earliest he could return is the AZ game in week 7.

Tua, just doesn't seem to be able to take what for most QBs is a regular hit and be ok. That's the scary thing with his concussions.

So, injuries happened this week.

Rice appear to have torn his Achilles.

Daniels (Steelers, breathe Commies fans) tore his Achilles.

Shaq Thompson tore his achilles.

All of their games in week 4 were on turf?
