Pikkarainen.

Tempted to go Foote, as I do think he has ability, but in the end, he needs to show he can stay on the ice. Also tempted to go Melovsky, as I think there is a hidden gem aspect here.

But instead just went with the recent 3rd round pick. He's big, he hustles, he plays physical, he supposedly has some offensive ability, that's a combo I like. The above two are much closer, (and as I say this it makes me want to go Melovsky) but think Pikkar may have the upside.

Add Graham. Would anybody be shocked if we see him fighting at the NHL level this season.

Barabosha.

No point in adding anyone at this point, as the remaining guys are very unlikely to make the top 20 or the NHL.

I suggest adding Salminen, but Bowers could be added as well. With the lack of center depth and a former number-one pick, I could see him being sent up during injuries. He still has his speed. Has size at 6'2". I dunno we're kinda at the bottom of the barrel here.

Pikka. I need to watch more, but iis combination of skills is interesting. I was not so impressed by his on ice decisions. Readon why he is so late.
I need to vote for Foote, I think now he is more closer to NHL and I hope he will be good enough yo win the spot, but I think he is very close to never be a Devil one way or another.

Stillman. Add Salminen.

Same song.

Former 1st round pick is after an undrafted goalie?

This is one of those one that will look odd in the future.

I was curious how much higher we were on foote a couple years ago but apparently it wasn’t much. Zetterlund, Okhotyuk, and Daws all ahead of him before the 22-23 started, but i guess that’s expected with how his career had gone by that point.

But in 2020 and 2021, Foote was all the way up to #4.

I’d also like to really give a ton of credit to @Nubmer6 for running these every year. It really is a great resource. :cheer:

It’s obvious Fitz has been fixated on finding his own Tom Wilson-type to mesh with the skill players, but Stillman will always be the “boy Stankoven would look so good in our top-9” draft pick. Brayden Point and Connor Chatham all over again.

At least Nolan Foote’s here though, right?!

So based on these polls a fifth-year pro is the 16th best prospect in the system.
