Speed is the name of Misa’s game, and he is dynamite in transition, impacting the puck on every shift. He turns defensive zone recoveries into controlled offensive zone entries, attacking opposing defences with breakneck speed and dynamic crossovers. Whether his passes are one-touches within short range, give-and-goes, or cross ice darts through traffic, Misa consistently utilizes his speed and playmaking vision to generate high-danger offence.

Following in a long line of less talented brothers to be a Calgary Flame

Val Bure, Rob Niedermayer, Markus Granlund, Michael Stone

Thrilled to get him at #150. Maybe they buck the trend and draft his brother as well, should maybe have a shot at it with the way the roster is shaping up for next season.

I really quite liked his game at the Top Prospects, but was very “meh” in the rest of my viewings (mainly playoffs).

We also had the lesser Sutters as players. And the lesser Primeau and Reinhart.

We did have the good Kiprusoff

And we had both Drury brothers, although the good one got out here faster than Usain Bolt.

We've also had a good number of NHL fathers in Reinhart, Nylander Gagner, Nillson, Sutter(?)

Why'd he fall? Size? Most outlets had him 2nd round.

Not a 4th round pick though, so total bust. :sarcasm:
Ya, I wonder too. Most had hime 2nd rnd at midseason, but he was a faller for sure.
He's a great pick at 150, and lets hope we can get his brother!

So who else does he play like stylistically other than a Cizikas type?

Misa scored 81 points in 66 OHL games in his 3rd season in the league.

Notable names that had comparable production at the same age: Verhaeghe, Hoffman, Legwand.

Notable names that had comparable PPG at the same age: Hoffman, Tyler Bertuzzi, Justin Williams.

Of course, most of the above names did it in a lower scoring environment, and there's also wayyy more names surrounding him that didn't make it big. So I don't really have any expectations he makes it.

But for a 150th overall pick? Id say this is very good value. Majority of players picked in this round dont become NHLers anyways, so why not a guy with a bit of offensive upside?

Byron was a hell of a sixth rounder, you hope a fifth turns into a Byron
statistically speaking, as of 2020 6th rounders are actually more likely to play 100 games than 5th rounders
