2024 Coaching/Front Office Thread: You Can Take Your Seat Hot to Go

Normally I take these as “I know I’m not getting it so here’s me saving face” but they were waiting to talk to him a second time.

Given it’s the only job left…and Brady shouldn’t fall out of the interviews next year with the Bills offense…it could just be waiting for a better opportunity. He’s got to want to see if that Bengals job opens up somehow next year. That’s the dream job for him you’d think.

Plus…with Ben Johnson hired he could find himself the hot coordinator next year…and try to raise that next contract up some from what he would probably get this year

Plus thier cap situation is in shambles.

With the guy who put them in that situation not going anywhere.

New Orleans is in that tier with the Jets and Jaguars. Where you don't want to go but someone will take it. Either because they had ties to them(Glenn) or they just want to be paid(Coen).

Then you have the Dallas tier. Where you are the head coach only in name. But you can at least tell people at the grocery store one day that you were "coach" of the Dallas Cowboys.

Looks like Kliff Kingsbury might as well stay in Washington, the head coaching cycle this time around ain't it.
It is down to the saints. Big pass there. He is getting his AZ HC money so no reason to take a less than ideal job at the moment.

He's not actively applying plus he has shown no interest in leaving Jayden

Also he is literally being paid by Arizona not to coach them until 2027. Would be pointless to take a HC job

Kliff should stuck there so that he gets the gig when Quinn inevitably moves on and/or they win the Super Bowl

Jacksonville became attractive the moment Baalke got fired.

It's still a job in the NFL, there's only 32 of those, so you will always have guys. That being said, the guys who end up taking these kind of jobs are guys who would not be considered anywhere else. Ironically, this is where a guy like Brian Schottenheimer should be coaching. Ditto for Eric Bienemy, ya'll don't think he would crawl through the 7 pits of hell for this job? He absolutely would.

Kellen Moore should not bother with this, especially when it's quite possible that Josh Allen and Joe Burrow might be getting new head coaches at the end of next year.

If you take one of those jobs, then your side of the ball needs to perform, like Saleh's Jets D did. Ensures you get another Coordinator role again. After a few years, then maybe you get another opportunity.
Not sure the Saints O will do much to help Moore or Brady.
