Not throwing it out of hand, Colorado will end up redoing the contract. I have a hard time seeing Prime coaching against his kids.

This indicates the offense is going back to the Stefanski offense. They'd brought in Dorsey prior to this season in hopes a new perspective and new offense could unlock what Stefanski never could with Watson. It didn't work. Even after changing everything from blocking schemes to the whole dang playbook, Watson proved he lost whatever he had.

Reminder: last season the Browns had something like the 10th best scoring offense despite suffering through several Watson starts and rolling through a bunch of other QBs.

I don’t know why this guy keeps getting interviews

I don't get it either, his last 4 seasons at Stanford were terrible and he's done nothing since. I wouldn't expect many P4 programs to be interested in him let alone an NFL team.

He kept showing up at the draft every year for NFL Network, which I also thought was strange.

Right now he’s a ‘senior personnel executive’ for the Broncos.

But he’s only 52, so he can’t be retired from both coaching and TV.

He was a hot name after he took over from Harbaugh at Stanford but after a few years it just got harder and harder for them to remain one of the better teams in the Pac12. He had overtures from the nfl before but passed on them saying that his wife loves Stanford. Figured he’d have gone to be an OC in the nfl if he doesn’t want to deal with NIL.
52 is young and not like Stanford was paying 8 figures like other programs for their HC.

probably a rule that rhymes with Schmooney
The Bears have already interviewed 4 other coaches who are minorities so it has nothing to do with that rule. It's the same with the Saints who plan to interview Shaw along with at least two other minority coaches.

hmm maybe just a case of teams casting a really wide net then, or teams seeing another team interviewing him getting FOMO and adding him to their lists as well, would have thought he would have been a hotter commodity back when Stanford was having good seasons under him

Some teams seem to use these long interviews as a form of consulting. They can get him to provide a detailed run down of what he (and the Broncos) think of the team and what they need to get better.... all for maybe $5k in airfare and lodging.
That they do do, but he’s been doing this while he was at Stanford. His name always comes up but there’s been no indication he has even been a serious candidate.
