BUF vs BAL

Ravens did themselves no favours with turnovers and going for 2 points earlier in the third quarter killed em.

Baltimore defense came up with 0 turnovers.

For a team that had such good ball control during the regular season bad time for Baltimore to lose the turnover margin that badly.

lamar made two mistakes early and made up for it as the game went on

the ravens were rolling before the andrews fumble. lamar deserved a lot better than that

i always believe you take the points in most situations, but if you're going for 2 at least run a rpo. monken called another terrible game

You play the odds. Likely going to need to go for 2 as you think what if you give up a TD in Q4? It’s a bit chaotic at the end if you get the TD. Cause you get 40 second son play clock to do the 2 PAT. So have to get your sub group in if needed.

Buffalo, can’t mess up play call like that vs KC. If you have the dagger to make it 2 scores have to get it. Tush push might get you to the 1 and give you a much higher chance of getting it again on 4th vs a QB run from shotgun.

Tough day for Andrews. Fumble that puts it up 8, then drops the 2 point try. Nearing the end of his time in Bal. Whenever Likely is due up for a contract Bal will let Andrews walk or cut him.
I suspect Andrews cosplaying Tyreek Hill might have been psychological. Wanting to show his worth only to blow up in his face.

RPO, play action. Even a toss to Hill(but find a way to eliminate Milano).

Likely finished year 3 so can sign a new deal in the off season.
Andrews has a year left. $17 mill against cap but $11 mill in real money with $6 mill dead if cut. 2025 should be his final year with ravens.

A QB who plays like ass with two costly turnovers who then shows up late is part of why Ravens season is over

Is he all to blame? No but Lamar has to take his role in this and there is no "Well Lamar was only part bad"

Andrew will be having nightmares forever with what happened today

Oh goody. For the 4th time in 5 seasons we get to face the Chiefs .

Eventually Bills either slay the monster or just are nothing special like all the other victims Chiefs have left behind

The Bills got away with some of the McDermott conservativeness that I can’t stand because the Ravens dropped balls and turned it over three times. It’s not actually great to barely win a game you had a plus 3 turnover difference in but the offense was put in neutral in the second half with screen passes and run plays. Was nonsense. Not to mention not just tush pushing twice from the two and going up two scores. That was insanity.

The good news is none of it has to matter at all because this gameplan is gone now and it’s survive and advance.

My money has been on “one year they just don’t have to play the Chiefs in the playoffs like how Manning won his first ring without playing Brady”.

Won’t be this year. So I’m gonna need them to figure it out.

I have a feeling post Ray Lewis/Ed Reed era, the Ravens obstacle of going forward is themselves. They can’t help themselves with turnovers, dropped balls, miscues, stupid penalties come playoff time.

Going for 2 is all a feel thing. There’s under 18 minutes to go in the game, it’s reasonable to think you may not get another touchdown.

absolutely

turnovers with some bad playcalling mixed in has been the reason for every ravens playoff exit in the last several years

I would say last years AFC Championship game was worse than this one, homefield and they stink up the joint.

Also, losing Flowers these playoffs probably hurt them this time around.

going for 2 is fine when you absolutely need to (like at the end)

there was no reason not to take the points when they went for 2 the first time with his much time was left in the game. but like i already said, monken should've drawn up a better play

You don't win with guys like Lamar
The coaches ego should be willing to shelve their wunderkind QB for the RB if needed, but Harbaugh and Monken want to "prove a point", which is their undoing. This was definitely a game Lamar could have notched as a W but just enough gaffes were made to swing the game to an L.

Heck, if Washington absorbed that "use the QB" in the 80s, we'd probably be out of a Super Bowl(With Theismann) and a big win against the Cowboys where we plowed them over with 40 gut and 50 guty ad nasueum.

Also being down 1 means if bills get a FG you need a TD. At that stage of the game I get trying to tie it up. Down to like 2 possessions each in Q4, best case for ravens. You aren’t thinking that you’ll surrender 2 FGs which ultimately a TD and convert would tie the game.

@snipes since Andrews about to be Omar’d in Baltimore, get Seattle to offer a 5th round pick for Mark Andrews.

Seattle is lacking in pass catching TE.
Geno has had Fant, Dissly, Parkinson, Brown, Barner as his package of TE. Waldron and grub as OC. Stats are not popping for the TE group. Not sure if it’s them, Geno, or the OC. Plus they have had a trio of WR so that reduces the TE touches.
