Toronto has picked 58th overall 1 time in their history, selecting Jesse Blacker in 2009.
Toronto has never selected 225 OA before.

“We require, as a team, proper levels of pugnacity, testosterone, truculence and belligerence. That’s how our teams play."

Brad's been taking a few pointers from Mr Burke.

Mayes is a hard-hitting, aggressive defender who makes the occasional play on the breakout. He brings a bit of rush defence value, off-puck threat elimination, retrieval skill, and a lot of violence. If he can’t win the positioning battle, he still overpowers opponents and traps them along the boards. -EliteProspects 2024 NHL Draft Guide

So he should trade a boatload for a future soft, oneway, Conn Smythe winner who gets robbed by a more acceptable/palatable recipient?

Are you talking about Kessel?

I mean some of Calgary’s best years in the last decade were when Brad and Burke were working together.
