His stats are actually pretty good, he should have been in the BCHL/USHL for another year. That's a big jump up as a freshman. If you want to compare look at what Bostons 1st rounder did;

defensive system didn't help his production. Even Trevor Connelly didn't have great offensive stats. I've read he's been fine and should have a bigger role next year. We'll see.

He was a true freshman (he only turns 19 in May IIRC) and he wasn't all that physically mature, so his production is actually pretty good all told. Plus ,the top scorer on the team had only 24 points, Providence definitely wasn't an offensive juggernaut this year. Next season is going to be the true test for him, we should see his production go up.

I like his tools, there's some hope there IMO. He's not Hage, but he's a prospect worth having some patience with. Good skater, decent hands, decent frame once he fills out. There's something there.

Yeah, he's still a legitimate B level prospect. He needs a lot of physical development.

Yes. He got the tools and motor to become an effective depth player. Need to add weight and figure it out like all players of his age.
