I remember this.I've been on HF a long time and I swear I remember a thread about Koivu having a son and people joking we would draft him someday... Where has the time gone

A defenseman at 2, Carbo and Tremblay at 5 and 6, goes to show you that offense has been a question mark going back at least 5-6 decades. Defense and goaltending have been top notch, but Shutt and Lafleur played a long time ago. I never saw Naslund play, but while I dont want to lessen what he accomplished, it seems everyone had 100 pts season in the 80s. In fact, it's surprising that we only have one 80s guy with such totals. For fun since i was born in the mid 70ies i decided to do 1976-2000 and 2000-2024

At least guys like Gainey and Carbo were good defensively. You could argue Carbo was generational defensively speaking. I mean AG and DD in the top 10 is pretty sad,A defenseman at 2, Carbo and Tremblay at 5 and 6, goes to show you that offense has been a question mark going back at least 5-6 decades. Naslund finished 8th in scoring that year. Ahead of Howerchuk and Dionne. And was 5’7”. Nothing about him was average.
