He's clearly the shiftiest player on the team. It's strange having so much prospects that are good offensively ! I'm 34 y/o wasn't the best era of Habs hockey, except Kovalev, i don't remember a premium offensive player in his prime on our team. With Caufield, Hutson, Demidov, we may have potential top 5 player at their position.

Caufield is too small to be a top 5 winger in the NHL. Suzuki is and will continue to be the better player. This is not to say that I am not happy to have Cole as I was elated when we drafted him and he has lived up to my expectations thus far. I just get a little triggered when he is held above Suzuki which zero NHL GM's or coached would agree with.

Best player in the KHL by a mile, guy has a legit shot at being the NHL’s best winger in a few years

Don't rule out him playing center at some point.

I agree with that. This guy have sky limit's potential man.

He is hungry every shift, hallejuah IQ, hallejuah hands, passing and shooting ability.

30-40 goals, 60++ assists, that's my type of production I see in him!

It's not like he doesn't get points against top teams, he's faced CSKA 3 time and has 6 pts in those games and they are the 2nd best team in the KHL. He's had 4 games against Loko, the top team in the KHL, he's got 2 pts but 1 of those games he played only 5:31.

Anyone that watches Demidov should be clear to see that if you play him, points will come.

We’ll add Demidov in March/April
  • This team has turned a corner and is 1 point away from the playoffs.
  • We just beat the last 4 Stanley cup champions.
  • Two of them were on a 5+ game win streak before we beat them.
  • We came back from a first period deficit twice when both teams were undefeated when leading after 1.
  • Adding Demidov to this team this year could launch us to a playoff dark horse

Demidov can only be added to the team on June 1. We probably need to reach the semi-finals for this to happen. Look forward to him in the Fall of 2025.

Suzuki is more valuable and impactful but there's more competition at C to be a top 10 C but agree with your point. Though if Caufield can get a 45-50 goal in a season he may be a top 5 winger on offensive production alone.

Imagine, on top of Demidov being the best player outside the NHL, we also have Hage who's two points ahead of where Caufield was in his D+1 (20 vs 18 points in 15 games).
Really hopeful for Hage and what a great story it would be if he can fill that 2C spot in a couple of years

Like what's Naslund said....June 1st. But sticking with your thoight process...imagine without him we still somehow manage to go on a dark horse run in the playoffs......we've seen what hot goalies can do.....and then after a deep run scaring some teams...Demidov comes over in the Fall.

We are building something so special.

Absolutely..and you know...I really believe now that we will make the playoffs.

The 4 lines are very good..each player accept their role.

Carrier changed the entire defense.

.
I wanted to finish dead last to draft Shaeffer but since 4 or 5 games I changed my mindset...this team is legit and the most important thing for me..they are fun to watch.

Imagine with Demidov next year!!

You sure? Didn't Michkov spend the whole season on the top 6?
I got the numbers. It’s better to double check. Because Michkov played 2 seasons in the KHL, and his D+1 he had more success vs top teams. I had his D season numbers in mind

These are the D+1 numbers:

Breakdown A:

Vs top 8 teams: 8 points
middle 8: 22
bottom 9: 11

Breakdown: B:

Vs top half teams: 16 points (2/5)
Bottom half: 25 (3/5)

I would be happy to burn a year and add him for a playoff run and I have no doubt we're close to competing but his contract isn't up until KHL season ends and he'll likely be competing for championship there

Yeah, but my initial point wasn't about opposing teams, but rather opposing matchups. Michkov played top 6 minutes the whole season last year.

You are mistaking opinion for fact which is common on sports message boards.

There is zero evidence that Michkov would refuse to play for any team other than the Flyers and you are only making my case stronger Even the Arizona example doesn't matter as he might very well have a different opinion if they had drafted him because they moved to Utah a year later. SKA wanted nothing to do with him and he wasn't happy in Sochi so his leverage is being vastly overstated.
He had 3 years of contract left....source that SKA wanted nothing to do with him? How do we know Flyers didn't pay them off? See, this bullshit you play of wanting facts on one side but making up shit on the other, doesn't fly. Take your own advice. Actually, no need to answer because I'm familiar with your posts where you always have to be right.

I think you produce more P60 playing with Top 6 players vs tougher matchups, than you do with Bottom 6 players vs weaker matchups.

I disagree. That depends on the level of talent of the player. Talented players will feast on weaker opposition. They can be used as exploitation and that's exactly how Demidov was used before getting promoted.

Pure cope. He was playing with crap linemates, getting very little PP time and inconsistent deployment. He was not being "used as exploitation." They weren't sheltering him, they were punishing him for not signing a contract.
