Cameron basically tells the press "I wouldn't have done anything differently."

It takes a big ego to say that after what was an embarassment for Canada.

In no way do I blame a bunch of teenagers for the results but these type of statements are a good illustration of how Hockey Canada views itself. They always convey the feeling that they do not answer to anyone. Like Pronger says, it might be time to evaluate the funding.

On the positive side, the Finns are in the final and Canada handled them no problem in the tournament so its not as if the talent gap is huge. Next year will be a bounce back for Team Canada.

I am updating the scoreboard shortly, in this post - so we can see where things lie heading into the final two games.

Scoring heading into the final day:

Mozes 42
THC 40
Cerebral 39
GrandLarseny 39
Paralyzer 38
Soli 35
Lakai 28
Leftovers 19

Reminder to Soli: Thelin didn't get a point for the OT loss, it's only shootout losses that give you an extra point.

Canada
I lose my goaltender, two of my top three forwards, and my second defenceman - I am cooked.
Going Canada heavy in this tournament wasn't a great play. The US was obviously going to be a wagon. And Canada really lacked that clear alpha scoring forward.

I am looking at the 4 players who just missed the cut on my team with how I put it togetger

Leo Braillard--4 pts
Zeb Forsfjall--5 pts
Christian Kirsch--Second option in net
Thomas Uronen F SW 2 pts
I also talked myself out of taking Brodie Ziemer

I need to hone my number next year, Zeb and Leo were just a few % points (in how I put together my team together

From what I watched, the USA was the best team in the tournament.

So congratulations to the Americans and well deserved but watch out for Team Canada next January when we rebound.
