Scott Salmond basically admitted today that they left many high skill players at home in favour of a certain identity. And that Canada will have to reevaluate its selection process and game strategy. Finally some accountability

Most average team Canada in a while, you can’t build a Memorial cup team and expect to win the WJHC especially when your best skilled forward is a 16 year old

There was a while ago where we got rolled in like 2 consecutive WJC's and that's when Hockey Canada decided to go a "Skill Adapts" route (You can teach Skill players defense, but you can't teach grinders to score kind of thing). And then the last couple years we've started building "identity" teams rather than the most skilled and we keep losing again.
