We found Stanley’s burner account.

We will convene come playoffs but simply put, he’s not good enough to be in the lineup for a deep run. If you can’t see that, I cannot help you.
Nobody is saying he should be in the line up for a deep playoff run. In fact, if you choose to look in my post history, you'll see me say countless times that he needed to be upgraded on IF we want to go on a deep run

That said, Stanley - Miller has performed very well as a bottom pairing during the regular season

I am, arguably, one of the biggest Chevy critics on this site. I think he should have been fired and replaced years ago and I feel zero guilt for feeling that way…but…I will say nothing from this past TDL was any of Chevys fault. Yes he should have dealt with the 2C issue years ago, and I won’t get back into old arguments…but this year, from all reports, Chevy went all in after the best 2C option on the market and was close to finalizing the deal until some factor shifted the outcome to Colorado…whether that was Lou using the Jets to boost an Avs return or just a GM playing one side against another in an auction for his best player, or the player himself choosing where he wanted to go…regardless, Chevy did what he was supposed to do and went for it to support this team and give them the best chance to win. Now after that deal, there was no one of that level left on the board or worth the prices that were being thrown around, so once again, Chevy did what was best for this team and pivoted to depth and PK acquisitions, saving his big trade assets for the offseason to re-address the 2C issue again.
Yes I wanted certain players but we all have those particular players we’d want on our team, or think would be best fit, but Chevy did what he should do and folded his hand when the prices got stupid. Yes it can be argued he over payed for Schenn and Tanev, and he did, anyone saying otherwise is either out of touch, blind, or a sycophant, but the prices were what they were and he needed to add some help for the teams playoff chances and again he did what he was supposed to do at the cheapest he could in the market.
I, personally, find zero fault with anything Chevy did during this TDL. He cannot will deals into existence and cannot do things if the player, opposing team, or market are against him and this year we saw all 3 occur.
Although I don’t see this team getting overly deep due to our C issue, I still would love to see this team hoist the Cup and will be cheering as loud as I can while they battle through, and hopefully prove me wrong.

GO JETS GO

People forget last season. Great regular season. Got caved in in the playoffs.
We also didn't have a record high PP last season and the best goals for / against last season. But if you just want to believe because of last season we have no chance this season have at it. I choose to think last season was last season and this is a new season.

i wouldn't have minded Cozens, but not at the price of Perfetti. it'd be a similar deal what FLA did for Reinhart for me, 1st+prospect. (similar level to Levi) there is a cap difference between the 2 aforementioned players for a short while. but the delta of 4m b/w Cozens and Perfetti is finite as Perfetti will need a new long-term deal soon.

it's real chicken or egg thing, but the PP Production is really holding Cozens back this year. BUF's PP is ranked 27th in GF/60 & Cozens PP scoring stinks. is that b/c Cozens stinks on the PP? or the system/structure stinks (similar to us last year vs this year where the Jets had a glow up from 24th to 1st)? ie:
Cozens 1.92 5v5 pts/60 vs 1.66 PP pts/60
Perfetti 1.44 5v5 pts/60 vs 7.45 PP pts/60
or another example on the Jets PP system superiority - Iafallo who i don't think is some super talented offensive player: 1.1 5v5 pts/60 vs 6.1 PP pts/60. everyone eating good on the Jets PP this season.

when a player has a lower scoring efficiency on the man-advantage vs 5v5, imo i think that is not super sustainable and it's just more than an individual player issue. same thing i pointed out w/ NYI and Brock Nelson 24-25 season vs his last few.
i don't watch buffalo enough to have a qualified opinion, but id trust the Jets would've determined Cozens at 7M was good value and a legit 2C for us. although some on here have said his play leaves a lot to be desired (not sure # of games they've seen him play over the years).
I was probably the biggest proponent of getting Cozens here, but there is no way I would have offered Perfetti in that deal.

You are correct but i didn't just want to say your post was stupid.
Saying the jets wont make the playoffs is
Just trolling. But pointing out the jets had a great regular season and got caved in on the playoffs last year isn’t.

Chevy is responsible for the team and he’s known of the 2C issue for years. No one
Is forcing him to pay deadline prices. He can work on this issue at anytime throughout the year.

I just don’t think you’re going to see a cup champion with names as 2C. And I desperately hope I am wrong. But after last year the jets need to prove it.

For the folks that think Perfetti is too high a price to pay for a 2C, Perfetti is a middle six winger. A middle six winger. Infinitely easier to replace that than 2C.

How much would we have had to have added to Perfetti?
No idea. But if you can land a 2C with term and cost certainty you have to explore it. I’m not the GM. Hopefully one year, two years, five years from now chevy isn’t still looking for a 2C. Actually by then scheif will be the 2C and we’ll be looking for a 1C. lol

Can you imagine how deep and dark the misery would be in Winnipeg with Trotz at the helm? He’s made a lot of moves to tank the franchise, can’t evaluate the trade market properly, has terrible asset management qualities, doesn’t seem to have any strategic outlook - and that’s in a place that ranks among the preferred free agent destinations. There is nothing to save him in Winnipeg and we would have NOTHING with him steering this team. Crisis averted.
We didn't want him as GM though...we wanted him as a coach.
