Nelson has rental written all over him, I like the player, think he would have better chemistry with KC than Ehlers. Reilly Smith would help this team, and the Jets have brought in a couple of players already from the Knights team that eliminated them. He's a guy who could be valuable in the playoffs.

I'd like to see Chevy make a hockey trade if possible. Something like Ristolainen and Foerster from Philadelphia for 1st (this year or next), Barlow, Jacob Julien who is playing with a few Flyers prospects on the London Knights, Rashevsky and maybe a d prospect like Garret Brown.

Add some scoring to the RW position with not a lot depth there.

Ristolainen, I think if the Jets get into some 4 on 4 situations they'd still like better skaters out there than De Melo, Miller and Stanley. And I say 4 on 4 because I'll always remember that Buff and Myers 4 on 4 that blew open the Nashville game in round 2. Just don't ask me to remember which game it was. But if there is one player in the starting lineup who was been sat healthy this year it's Colin Miller, and I wonder if he is fully recovered from his injuries earlier in the year. Top 4 defense is going to be the big factor in the playoffs beyond goaltending. Maybe Jokiharju would be a target there.

I still like Ryan Strome from the ducks. 2C numbers, his cap hit is reasonable, and has one more year after this one. Clear upgrade to Names and putting up good numbers this year on a crap Ducks team

Strome for Barlow and a 3rd?

I was looking at Strome as well for a while. But it seems he is not a clear upgrade on Vlad and may even be worse in the faceoff circle.

That 90% GF seems like a certain regression candidate. Hopefully it doesn't all happen in mid to late April...

Unless Helle hits the bed against 4th lines... They're extremely sheltered looking at Woodmoney's quality of competition stats.

Mid on offense when they're on the ice and huge goaltending bump, against bottoms of Fwds depth chart.

I like what he says about home ice advantage, even though the last 2 playoffs never went well he still says it's a advantage to play in front of our fans.

I noticed that about all the Jets being interviewed ... they always say they enjoy playing in front of the great Jet fans.
