Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Yeah i don't like it either. Unless we are going for a premier player id rather we stand pat.
I tend to agree. I think Schenn is better than some of the other options being touted as a 2C, but he comes with a 6.5M cap hit for 3 more seasons. I'd be okay if he came at a low price, but I don't think he will. Luke Schenn is preferable to Savard in my view, but a low-end depth acquisition.

I saw a player last night that I would love to have on the Jets and it's not Schenn, Robert Thomas is exactly the player you trade for if you want to make a huge move but it would be costly. NTC comes into effect next year and is signed long term
Also no way any team trades him.
Yeah he's their number 1 building block. He's not available. But yes I'd love to have him.
I'd be worried his game falls off a cliff given his age. His contract is a couple years too long.
Yup, I doubt any of the Thomas/Kyru and younger crop is available. Those are clearly their building blocks in their retool.

No thanks to Schenn. Namestnikov is just as good of a player as him right now and he's coming in at 3.0 Million the next two years.
Yeah his current ticket right now is ugly.
Aging player, locked in with a lot of term, and the AAV is not crippling but will not look pretty down the line.
You know, while we’re at it, that MacKinnon guy looked pretty good during the 4 Nations…
I like that B Schenn plays more of a hard nose in your face style that i think only Lowry brings on the Jets. More of a guy that initiates rather than reacts.

Stan got some games with Pionk when Samberg was out. They weren't terrible together IIRC. Better than Fleury - Pionk, anyway

Realistically, what would it cost to get Thomas?
Blues look more like retooling than rebuilding so Thomas would be a key part for them.
25 1st + 26 1st + Lambert + Barlow? Probably still not enough. And too futures oriented. Take out the 26 1st and Lambert and put in Perfetti.
Sounds like Boston may be the first team to be giving up on the hunt. Perhaps Geekie could be an option for us?

I don't see Boston moving Geekie being that he is an RFA and cheap, why not just hold onto him unless someone overpays of course then I am sure they could be persuaded, but of course I wouldn't overpay for Geekie.
No one else that would be available on that Bruins line up really interests me, Frederic might be ok if we can snag him on the cheap but that's about it.

I guess it would depend on if they want prospects or more equivalent young NHLers. Maybe either Vilardi or Samberg + 1st + Lambert? Young ppg centers signed to good deals don't come cheap

Yup. Even if we are willing to get silly. Short of pretty much our whole 1st place roster for their out of the PO roster.
