probably someone still on the team, either names or lowry. i don't see a surefire top-6 C really other than nelson on the trade list. but it's not like perfetti has been a worldbeater on the other wing.
I'd rather spend it on a 2C with term than a winger headed to free agency.

If Ehlers and Pionk aren't signed before TDL, then my ideal playoff lineup after the trade deadline is:

Connor/Scheif/Vilardi
Perfetti/B Schenn/Boeser
Niederreiter/Lowry/Appleton
Barron/Namestnikov/Iafallo
Gus

Morrissey/Parayko
Samberg/DeMelo
Fleury/Miller
Stanley

Hellebuyck
Comrie

Pionk+Kupari+Lucius+2025 1st for B Schenn+Parayko
2026 2nd+Barlow for Boeser

Ehlers for a 2025 1st (to recoup pick lost in StL deal) + A prospect (to replace Barlow)
Just looked and i didn't realize how much Schenn was making, 6.5 million a year for the next 3 years . That's quite a bit for a guy that is already 33 years old.

No idea. American, and he has a relation to Dave Christian.
I’m personally against the 2-3 month rental idea, but if that’s the route we go, Nelson would definitely be my first target.
Would absolutely love if we could get a Nelson + Pulock package but that would require 2 very unlikely things to happen…Pulock to waive, and even less likely, Lou to accepting reality and starting a rebuild in Long Island

Barf.

Kind of optimistic that the Jets could acquire 3 players with NTCs. I'll be surprised if they can get even one player with term and a NTC.
My selections were chosen strategically in hopes they would all agree to play in Winnipeg.

Schenn is from Saskatoon who played in Brandon. Perhaps he is fine chasing another cup for couple of years vs rebuilding in St Louis. His contract could line up nicely with Yager’s development as a future 2C.

Parayko is also a Western Canadian boy who seems to like playing with Morrissey which would be his role for next couple of Cup runs. Then as Salomonsson develops into a top 4 dman, Parayko can drop down to 2nd pair and 3rd pairing as he ages and DeMelo leaves.

Boeser seems to have been on the radar of Jets management for years and the opportunity to play close to home could be a benefit for Winnipeg. No inside knowledge but I see Boeser in a Jets #16 jersey next year.

Paying Schenn and Parayko $6.5M for the next few years could be less expensive than paying Pionk and another 2C which is important to TNSE. Boeser instead of Ehlers is a wash financially. You would get a little younger and perhaps gain a little in goal scoring.

I think I’d go with Cozens and Bjorkstrand with Perfetti

I don't think the Jets do any major trade unless there's a major injury. I can see them picking up a bottom 6 or 3rd pairing D for cheap for depth but that's it. Listening to Selanne the other day even he mentioned the Jets don't really need to pick anyone up ... they have a good team they just have to stay healthy and get hot going into the playoffs.

I think chevy goes all in and I think he should.
I think more than our 1st in 25 will be traded.
I think some players that aren't full time Jets yet will be dealt.

B. Schenn would need retention or it's not even worth looking into, IMO.

Price would go up, accordingly, but can't imagine how that full ticket would look in a few years.
I couldn't agree more.
He is 34 when next season starts and has already started to decline.
If this were 3 years ago and he only had 3 years left on his deal, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but it isn't.
Now, if the Blues want to eat 1.5m to 2m of his deal...

Provorov and Cozens would be all we need.
I think we are in the minority on here regarding this but I completely agree, I know Cozens is a risk with that contract/term (more the term) but I do believe the kid still has a lot of talent and on a better team both as an org and in standings I see him bouncing back.

I also think Ivan is a great option for the third pair and to bump Stan out of the line up immediately, only a rental unless he re-signs next season and if he did wouldn't cost near as much as his current contract, sounds good to me.

Not sure. Everyone raked him for not doing enough during free agency but he trusted in what we had and are currently tops in the league. I can’t see why he’d risk chemistry and swing big now.

Maybe he’ll shore up some depth forward and a bottom D but that’s about it…I hope.

We'll see but he wasn't sending Lambert and Ford back to the minors for a couple of days to save cap space because he isn't looking to make a move.
