If Dobson was willing to sign for 8.5, I'd imagine his name would not be out there.

With the cap going up to 113.5 in 3 years, his next contract is likely going to start at 10+.

I don't think it's likely either, but there is an outside chance depending on whomever else might be interested if he thinks the Jets have the best chance to win. Slightly difference situations, but similar to Stastny.

I was scouring the Predators roster during the game last night like a vulture on behalf of the Jets and I couldn’t stop myself from fantasizing about an ROR acquisition. Would probably never happen but what an addition he’d be.

Perfetti is going to be back next year. He's still got a big contract year ahead of him.

I don't mind the idea of Ryan Donato at the deadline. Jets like prodigies. 17 ES goals, I saw his first one in the home opener, pretty good shot from the top of the circles, clean on Helly.

No trade protection there.

Donato for the right price seems like a sneaky good pickup for almost any team.

It's not dreamland. Star 1 RD for star scoring winger. Each have 1 year of control left. It's exactly what they'd be looking for and had been a team need for them for a while. They aren't giving up their top trade chip for less, it's what Lou has said it would take to get him.

I wouldn't do it but people throwing Perfetti or young player x plus for him aren't paying attention to what Lou's ask is.

Of course not and with us already having JoMo Dobson is less of a need. It is why we aren't a good fit for them in a trade. But there will be plenty of teams lining up to get a good number 1 RD and will pay to get it. I could see Florida/Tampa very interested and both have forwards they could part with for it.

Boeser was really good in the playoffs last season. He played a tough cycle game and produced well with some really clutch contributions. I wouldn’t mind adding him for a reasonable price

The problem with getting a winger like Boeser is that it will be at the cost of demoting Perfetti to the 4th line, or even to the press box. So how much increase in value does Boeser add over Perfetti? I'm not sure it would be worth the price.

One option might be if the Jets decide to move Ehlers to get some more trade assets and the Jets think they can re-sign Boeser. Could maybe add a 2C and Boeser, with Ehlers out?

For me, switch Lambert with Perfetti…but I’m a Lambert fan and if we re-sign Ehlers, moving Perfetti is acceptable.
