Anyone else getting the "don't f*** with what ain't broken" vibes?

Upgrade 3LHD, see what's out thenre for a middle 6C

Names looked amazing tonight. Lowry gives us a big bump when he's back
still rather get a legit 2c, names can have stretches of good play but can't do it reliably enough to be a full time top 6 center

Who's out there though?

I'd rather notn give up a 1st for a guy to play 2C who isn't really an upgrade
brock nelson/ryan o'reilly could be available both would be major upgrades maybe someone like zacha becomes available if boston keeps struggling

Agree.
I think people are fooled with Namestnikov looking good at times.
I'd go get a center but with more speed than Monahan.

And a LD to play with Miller.
Stan will kill us come playoff time.

The why is that I think we still have holes that we need to fill. Hockey trades can take different forms, but I'm mostly wanting Chevy to pursue players with term and I'm willing to pay the price for that.
I think there will be an add at defense for sure. Not sure Jets will trade more than picks to upgrade.

Up front is tricky. If the team to beat in the Central is Dallas I was at the game where the fans ran Oettinger out of the net. Followed the matchups closely.

Lowry shut down Hintz. Scheif beat Duchene. Namestnikov outplayed Johnston. Some say the Granlund trade is to replace Seguin on Duchy's line. So the matchups still hold. Ceci is an upgrade on.Dumba. And the Jets I believe only lost in Dallas by a late goal, caused by Logan Stanley getting benched.

Jets beat Colorado by matching up Lowry-Ehlers. Beat them without Lowry.

Beat Minnesota every which way.

Should have beat Vegas, without Samberg at home. Invisible penalty.

Vegas on the road I think there was a costly Stanley play in there.

Edmonton was a cake walk on the road, same centers.

Now I wonder what Chevy thinks. Does he disrupt all the lines, which have worked for the most part, to try something new.

Last year that led to a 7 game losing streak before an 8 game win streak. Hayes trade iced Little completely.

You can see on the bench a lot of communication between players, which is healthy.

Maybe Chevy just adds depth pieces, and gives the room their chance. Last chance to win together, because that's the way they've come to believe in each other.

There's a lot of moves that could be costly and go sideways. I'm not sure any trade in the West yet has Chevy overly concerned. It will be interesting to see who comes out of the lineup if someone goes in.

Colorado still scares me if Nichushkin comes back and plays the same way as last year.

Isles are now 3 points up on the Rags. Beat the Lightning tonight. Creeping up on the WC while missing their top 2 RD. Patrick Roy seems to have them going. If close I would expect the Isles to hold on to Nelson.

O'Reilly seems like a guy who would be pissed about moving his family to Winnipeg to pay more taxes at this point of his career.

I still think Brayden Schenn might get traded. Blues are stuck in the mud.

I also don't think Chevy is targeting slower skaters the way the team's skating centers are difference makers in multiple areas of the ice.
