Really would be an amazing twist if you were inanna/stumbledore
Busted!
Really would be an amazing twist if you were inanna/stumbledore
I'd rather keep Ehlers, my priority is winning the cup this year - I'll worry about his contract status in June. Boeser is one of the slowest skaters in the league, he'd be awful with PerfettiWonder if Jets are interested in an Ehlers for Boeser deal. Both pending UFAs with chance they would sign with their new team.
Ehlers plays with Petey and Boeser solidifies a top 6 scoring RW for Jets moving forward.
Who would you want to trade off the team, that wouldn't upset the dynamic that is winning? Even Stanley has a supplemental role at the very least. Heinola seems like the only player who would profit from a trade at this point, organizationally.Agreed. I'm hoping Chevy stays away from pure rentals and is willing to go big with a hockey trade.
Whether you're joking or not, something in that realm makes more sense to me.
I had nothing against Stumbledore, I just saw someone (Inanna) who I thought was potentially taking advantage of (lonely) men who're frequently on the internet. That's certainly a problem these days.
I said it before, but I only thought there was a >1% chance that they were the same person. There are reasons to think that they're the same person, but I'm not 100% there with that.
and posters on here were sliding in her DMs as well. she/it/he/who knows definitely knew what they were doing.Whether you're joking or not, something in that realm makes more sense to me.

Damn, Vancouver scooped up another Pettersson from the Pens.
They have nearly enough Petterssons to complete Exodia and win the Cup automatically.
I’d imagine the pp goes through Connor as soon as they are in the other team’s end. Someone who does stats would have to correct me, but, seems like kc gets the most touches and qbs the thing. Not only that, he’s arguably the main driver for our historic power play right now
Imo it’s risky to trade him. Some tantalizing possibilities sure, myself I’d like to keep him but it’s out of my control if he doesn’t want to stay with the jets
Though while we have him, and have this pp, we might never see a team this good for years - I’m on the “hard no” side of wanting to mess up that top pp unit
Oh, don’t get me wrong. I don’t want that either. But the selling price will be in that range for the Blues to move him to some other team. The point was he can’t be had for less than a 1st and the cost is likely much higher.
Then JETS should drive up the cost.I hate to say it, but I feel like it's a forgone conclusion that he ends up in Minny
ehlers has the most primary assists & overall assists on the PP and a pretty low shot-rate by his standards. he's one of they key playmakers on the PP. not sure whats up with you and trying to diminish ehlers at every post possible.I’d imagine the pp goes through Connor as soon as they are in the other team’s end. Someone who does stats would have to correct me, but, seems like kc gets the most touches and qbs the thing.
It’s generally kc to someone else back to kc. It’s how he is the leading point scorer on the pp.
Last game I counted a sequence where kc touched it 4 times and everyone else once which seemed like the norm.
or the Jets just re-sign the better player?Wonder if Jets are interested in an Ehlers for Boeser deal. Both pending UFAs with chance they would sign with their new team.

Too high for what we would pay but maybe not for what they would demandSure, 1st ++, but your +s are too high.
he's just regurgitating what others "insiders" have said. Murat really isn't a trade breaker.Walman would be a great add! Was hoping he'd be one of those listed of potentially available defensemen in Ates column in the Athletic which dropped this morning.
Nope. The list was pretty uninspiring with 10 players listed playing significantly under their contract value. In the comments one poster wrote "this list is the defense equivalent of that DVD bin at WalMart with titles like AirBud 2 and Universal Soldier."
David Savard, Ivan Provorov, Seth Jones, Rasmus Ristolainen, Cody Ceci, Ryan Lindgren, K'Andre Miller, Brian Dumoulin, Mario Ferraro & Connor Murphy were the featured players.
Id like it if we picked up Armia for sure.Who would you want to trade off the team, that wouldn't upset the dynamic that is winning? Even Stanley has a supplemental role at the very least. Heinola seems like the only player who would profit from a trade at this point, organizationally.
I'd go for rentals like Armia. Guys who you think would be easy fits, chemistry wise.
I think Chevy values prospects more than picks at this point. Just a question of where he wants to start in this year's draft. Trade a 1st and it will be the lowest draft position the Jets have been in since he started as GM. Gustafsson at 60 being the previous low draft position. What do the draft specialists think of this year's draft? Are there good players into the 90s and beyond? Do the Jets hope to go with solid picks in late rounds again?
When you're in first you don't have to make the first move. Just put your opponents in check.
I think the best hockey trades are made in the offseason. In season trades are usually problems in the dressing room or players who have quit on their teams.

Only looking for another 4th line/press box wing + PK guy in case Iafallo needs to move up because someone gets hurtIf San Jose is selling I'd prefer Mario Ferraro, have no interest in Armia we already have a couple of those who are as good
The why is that I think we still have holes that we need to fill. Hockey trades can take different forms, but I'm mostly wanting Chevy to pursue players with term and I'm willing to pay the price for that.Who would you want to trade off the team, that wouldn't upset the dynamic that is winning? If he came packaged with someone else from the Pens (wink wink), I'd consider absorbing that. There's some movement in Pittsburgh ownership (maybe sellers know about upcoming movement with the roster), they've made a point that Crosby is unavailable (which could mean just the opposite), I don't think Crosby minded staying in Pittsburgh, provided that they're at least in the hunt for a playoff spot. Even though the Penguins missed making the playoffs the past two seasons, they were right there both times.
Now he's looking at three more years of not making the playoffs? That's how he wants to go down? Missing out his last five years? Malkin's cooked.
On the flip side, the Penguins - I would imagine - would have to be greatly considering liquidating what they have, and go into rebuild mode. There's little chance of a transition where they integrate their prospect pool with their veterans, because their cupboards seem to be bare.
Crosby could also return to the Pens in three years, for a swan song, helping a younger core on his way out the door.
Everything is in place in Winnipeg for Crosby to make a push. Maybe Karlsson would be rejuvenated coming to competitive team. I hate his contract, I'm not crazy about him, but he's only got two years left, and I'd imagine Pittsburgh will only consider moving Crosby if they can also dump a contract like Karlsson's.
Pittsburgh might be wanting to help Crosby land in great situation too, for all of his great years and loyalty, also he'd be moved out of their conference. It's not like Pittsburgh is that much of a step up from Winnipeg too. I imagine Crosby would like to be in a place where he has all of the time to just focus on hockey.
I'd be fine giving that up but that's not going to get it done1st + Stan + Lambert/Lucius?
That said, I would rather use those assets (and more if necessary) to chase a much younger guy with more career ahead of him than behind.
As much as it seems unlikely on one hand, it makes sense on the other. Obviously Crosby has put down roots in Pitt, but how deep do they really go?
I still chuckle about how every time Chevy touched the phone at the draft, Murat was convinced that the Rutger deal was going down lolhe's just regurgitating what others "insiders" have said. Murat really isn't a trade breaker.
anyway, with Walman in the fold id hope it knock Stanley out as a mainstay. i think he also adds a dimension of offense from the back-end that the Jets can benefit from. id want SJS to retain though & Walman has another year left after this.
Despite where they are in the standings, Colorado would still be tops on his list. Even Vegas ahead of Winnipeg. If he came packaged with someone else from the Pens (wink wink), I'd consider absorbing that.
