Has anyone been to a cuda game? Thinking about flying out from Hawaii to catch the double header with Henderson. Just curious how the arena is and where is it located in relation to San Jose

It's about ten blocks south of SJSU, maybe fifteen blocks away from downtown, near the SJSU football and San Jose Giants baseball stadiums. I used to park down there all the time when I was in college (obviously long before the Barracuda were there), it's pretty easy to get to by car and I would consider it walking distance from downtown.

No idea how the arena itself is yet. I do intend to catch a game this season, but my travel schedule is pretty impacted right now.

Cas is right about the location. It’s right next to Sharks ice on 10th street. The arena itself is awesome. New, clean and not a bad seat in the house. I know the Cuda have been bad but I’m surprised the attendance is so poor.

I mean 75$ for prime seating I’d be stupid not to attended especially with the new prospect pool

I went last year to the double header early Sharks game against Buffalo and then the later Cuds game against the Flames affiliate. It was so much fun. I highly recommend it if you’re able.

so Halttunen to the AHL?
Halttunen to the AHL to try and make the AHL during Cuda camp. Doesn't mean he can't still be sent back to juniors if he doesn't make it, I wouldn't think.

So the remaining "prospects" still in camp are:

Celebrini
Smith
Gushchin
Cardwell
Graf
Dickinson
Cagnoni

Mukhamadullin, Askarov, Chernyshov, and Bordeleau are still there but injuried, so hard to tell if they're truly "there".

Pretty straightforward from here. Cut Bordeleau, Cardwell, Chernyshov, Graf, Gushchin, Poturalski, Sabourin, White, Cagnoni, Carlsson and Thompson. That gets us to 15 forwards, 8 defensemen and 3 goalies. Couture to IR gets us down to 14 forwards and 25 players total. Final two cuts come down to Mukhamadullin, Vlasic and Askarov's health.

All 3 of Vlasic, Muk, and Askarov will start on IR if they are still not skating. That would require an additional D to stay with the big club. That will be Vlassic when he gets back since none of the listed cuts deserve to play over the remaining 6 D.

If all 3 start on IR then I think Thompson stays up as the #7D unless we claim someone off waivers.
