I don't think seattle or calgary try anything as intentional as edmonton but it's still too much left up to chance, this is exacly when guys like Akil and Lewis and Burroughs should be getting 15 minutes+

Doughty for one, Byfield, probably Kopi just so he can rest, Kuemper to be fresh, Edmundson (obviously), and Anderson after that nasty shot block last night. Hell just play most of the Reign instead who cares.

There's all sorts of rules preventing just calling someone up.. like you can only have 4 non-emergency recalls post deadline.. guys on a AHL only deal need to sign an NHL contract and pass waivers.. why not use Akil and stone hands for next 2 games.

Agree about Lewie and Akil. What's the deal with Akil anyways? He's stayed up with the club but hasn't played, just riding heavy pine. I guess the best way to circumvent the call up rule is to play your 3rd and 4th lines a lot more than the top guys. Or just pull a Vegas and exaggerate a player's injury to circumvent the cap. This is also one game where I wouldn't mind Burroughs, hell even last night we could've used his "toughness".

Its weird they havent given Akil a start here and there and instead "plugged" in Lewis whenever possible. I picture the poor guy filling water bottles and drying gloves.

Free Akil!!!! I feel bad for him. Trevor freakin Lewis will be back next year and take Greentree's roster spot. Ask for a trade Liam. LOL.
