GDT: 2024-25 season game 71 LA Kings vs Colorado Avalanche @7:00pm 3/27/25

Why does it seem like either Doughty doesn't get what he is supposed to do or no one has told him that on the PK we are not doing that shitty tactic from last season where we just stand still and put the sticks on the ground. It's seems like he is playing his own game on the PK, disjointed and overall just pathetic currently

That Avs team is the best team in the NHL. If healthy, I think they win the SC.

The Kings are a good team, a solid team, but they're not an elite team. That's the difference.

I don't think there was a lack of effort tonight (I hate when people say that). Sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't. Kings didn't have "it" tonight and they were playing a better team.

The inability to generate scoring chances, and the unforced errors are what irk me about this game.

Can you imagine if they get Landeskog back watch the fkc out...Rantanen should have taken the money offered..soon he'll be crying in his 12 M dollar soup

Thought we did a decent job limiting shots outside and clearing rebounds in the first period, after that though we were chasing them opening it up way too much. Our team isn't fast or quick enough to keep up with a team like theirs. Maybe the altitude cut off oxygen to the teams brain cause we started forcing risky stupid passes as the game went on. By the third they seemed dejected and gassed.

Oh sorry what I really ment to say was the team stinks, our coach sucks, Rittich is terrible, we have no depth, we play a boring passive system and most importantly we have Trevor Lewis on our team

I disagree. This is a losers mindset. They have shown this year they can beat anyone when they play well. They may not win a 7 game series but they can make it a fun at least.
They do seem to have the most trouble with teams that skate as good as them and have high end skill. Teams like Colorado Edmonton and Toronto with speed and finishers like Mackinnon, Makar, Mcdavid, Draisaitl, Matthews, Nylander, Marner.

Watching the game deep in Unit 7W of Arizona in a bell tent with a wood fire. I’m still not as primitive as this shit power play. Stay salty my friends!

I'm with you there, I do think this team can beat any team on a good night if we stick to the system they've built. The problem is that players end up losing coverage trying to go man on man chasing guys like Makar and MacKinnon.

World class players like that are always gonna get their chances though, whole team has to be on the same page, games like this we just let things get too sloppy. Feel like this team is driven heavily on confidence, when we're good we are so good we make it look easy but if things get uncomfortable all the bad habits come out and we look like a lottery team.

The 4th line was clicking so well. Really made it a team that was just rolling.

This looked like the same shit we saw when only the always positive crowd was buying it.

Don't mind Hiller punting by resting Keumper for Saturday.

They quite literally have not proven they can beat anyone seeing as they are 0-2 against Colorado this season and have been outscored 8-2.

Colorado has also been smoking pretty much everyone since the deadline

-Road game
-Red Hot team
-Scheduled loss

Back at it Saturday at home.
The good news is Edmonton lost too
