Time for the yearly merry go round

can't play the kids, its early in the season and they're not ready, have to have veterans set the tone

can't play the kids, we're getting buried right now, need the vets to steady the ship before we let them loose

cant play the kids, too many injuries, they'll be exposed higher in the lineup

can't play the kids, these games are meaningful now, we need every point

can't play the kids, literally every point counts, these are essentially playoff games

can't play the kids, it's the playoffs and they've barely got any games, so how can we trust them? They're not ready.

we've got players on their literal D+8 dealing with the above.

Come on now, Turcotte, Laferriere, Clarke, Byfield, Spence and Lee all see regular time. That's 1/3rd of the skaters.

Thomas is the only one not in the lineup. The kids ARE playing this year. They have to, they can't afford any more bandaids.

More in reference to the 'why are the kids so raw' stuff

but yeah in a world where shitty ass lewis and other guys with zero efforts are playing over Thomas I will still complain about it

To say nothing of poor Moverare, Fagemo, et al

Imagine being D+8 Moverare and watching them sign buttf***er Edmundson for an eternal deal to spin like a top in front of the crease and take slashing penalties

Maybe the lesson time is being wasted because the freshman are being graded at the same time as the career upperclassman.

No I haven't watched a min tonight. What I can tell you, it's not right for the coach to allow the team to play bad and let their goalie get lit up 6 times in a game! Sometimes you change the goalie even if the goals on the starter were not his fault! Bottom line Hiller does not know how to change things up when his team is not playing well.

Hiller should be starting Copley against SJ and was keeping him fresh as he is coming off rehab for a major surgery.

Might as well keep Ritch in there and have a look at the tapes later with more information about how much was on the goalie and how much was on the

skaters.

Hiler mixed the lines and pairs quite a bit already.

Seems like you are in the goaltenders union.

Come on man faulting the goalie on a double tip

you know how rare that is?

Look at Rittich positioning on that double tip. He's half way deep in his crease on a long shot. Goaltending today still requires to take away shooters options. Maybe the initial tip gets by Rittich, but the 2nd tip doesn't happen if Rittich is on top of his crease. Being half way inside your goalie crease is good for some in tight shots or a back door chance. Maybe Rittich had hesitation to be more aggressive because of how his team plays, but at the same time a goalie can't be thinking too much. You play to your ability and not worry about the other stuff you can't control during the game. It was a bad game for himself and I'm sure he knows it.

The deeper a goaltender plays in his crease is a good indicator of how confident he is - the further back he plays the less confidence he has. Except of course on wrap around and play behind the goal line

Chicago, Nashville & Flames are looking for centers according to the main boards. That's the position that the King's have too many of. Other than 3rd pair D of course. Blake has to be getting antsy not making a trade yet..

If Kings are out of the playoff picture they could get a haul for Danault.
Run Kopitar-Byfield-Turcotte-Helenius to close out the year. These guys would get the experience and make mistakes when games dont matter so they dont need sheltering coming into next season.
