Yes to this. Loved the trade at the time since it was so low risk for the potential reward of Kuzmenko's play, but also because it moved the miscast Turcotte into a much better position.

I mentioned the 4th line in the Carolina GDT. Was babbling about it nonstop to my parents at the Caps game. No need for 11/7 anymore and now you've got four lines that can all apply real pressure and spend time on the good side of the ice.

This isn't like trading for Jeff Carter, but it is a case of a trade looking like it sets the best possible lineup/lines for what the roster is. Is it a good enough roster to be a legit contender? I'm not fully on board with that sentiment, but it now feels like a team that can actually win a playoff series.

Hopefully the Kings will be able to put this season's home record to the ultimate test by getting home ice in Round 1, seeing as they've won like two home playoff games since 2014.
It’s like that old argument we kept hearing about PLD last year: his mere presence is causing the team to win because everyone is slotted where they should be. Except with Kuzmenko it’s actually true.

He is Swiss.

Don't expect much from anyone who is gloating about a good old US boy. Those types are very sensitive.
Ah, accusing someone of being xenophobic or a nationalist when it's pointed out how dumb your argument is. Hilarious to get this nonsense despite getting shit for how "woke" some of my posts are.

Please go and find any post where anyone on this forum has used Faber's or Fiala's nationality as a factor in any of your critiques.

Fiala has been tremendous lately, huh?
I've said he's played much better. That's great. Not sure where you're going with it. He's on pace for 57 points. If that's acceptable for the highest paid forward, who's one-dimensional, getting the most powerplay ice time per game and 1 second of PK time per game, I'm glad you're happy.

I still wouldn't have made the trade. Faber's numbers align with what Doughty's third season was. Fiala's putting up numbers similar to Gaborik when he's 32, with similar deployment.

“Faber forced his way to Minnesota” is overused and boring so they gotta go with the “you just don’t like Swiss people don’t you?” angle.

We all know that Fiala had a rough 1st half (for whatever reason), I think he's been pretty lights out since - despite all that, still tracking to have 30 goals this season.

Was a good trade at the time for a team who needed a dynamic winger, good trade now.

Nobody quoted you, nobody was saying directly “I told you so”. You just start this out of nowhere. And now i made a dumb comment and something else is hilarious again. Did I hit a nerve somewhere, did I quote you or did I mention you somewhere ? Nope.

You could have quoted me, no it had to be somebody else again with a shitty comment on top.

You always act like that here. Its just a very annoying salty attitude. Think about it for once.

No the great King’sPawn felt the need to act like an *** again. You could have quoted me, no it had to be somebody else again with a shitty comment on top.

Thats is just sad in general. You always act like that here. Its just a very annoying attitude.
Okay, who are you talking about when you accuse people of hating Swiss people and loving "good ol' Americans"? I also asked you to point out where ANYONE on this forum has said that. So have you found anyone yet? Or are you finally going to admit you were just trolling?

Because I'll say it right now. I was talking about you making a stupid remark. You say I could have quoted you. Why don't you quote who you were talking about instead of making generalized pot shots?

I act like an ass when people act like one. Instead of talking about Vilardi, which Herby was referencing, you turned the discussion to something unrelated to what he was talking about, then claim victim when you get called on it.

A troll can't complain about the responses they get, because you're getting the attention you want.

Thank you for thinking I'm great though. I don't describe myself as that, but it's always nice to hear.

Madness.

Let Herby speak for himself, “get called for it” and “pot shots”.
Just madness, this.

Yup.

This first half of the season were basically his worst games.

He has been lights out from the start.

So apparently I am the one the the nationalistic bias was directed at.

I know for a fact I have never said anything in regards to Fiala being Swiss. Your buddy Axl loves to point out that I was supportive of the trade when it went down and spoke highly of Fiala, why would I be supportive of a European player if being traded here if I was anti-European? My comments on Faber being American are basically "At least we get to see him play for Team USA for the next decade". Would have the same views if he were born in Moose Jaw, Stockholm or St. Petersburg. You are the one who's view changes on players strictly based on what team a guy plays for, but I am the biased one, ok.

My favorite part of all of this is being called a nationalist for being a Faber fan and also be the boards resident Turcotte hater, despite Turcotte being the same nationality as Faber. But whatever floats that boat.
