Been saying it for years. Bluc has always had a care free attitude about goaltending.

Edmonton is extremely vulnerable in the net, you'd think that'd be an area of great concern for Bluc to exploit, but little care as usual. We're just gonna put hopium into a soon-to-be 35 year old coming off a terrible season.

So for the division so far..

Knights 3-1(win season series)

Ducks 2-0-1(1 game remaining)
Oilers 1-1(2 games remaining)
Sharks 1-2(1 game remaining)
Kraken 1-1(2 games remaining)

Canucks 1-1-1 (Canucks win season series)
Flames 0-2(Flames win season series with 1 game remaining)

Kings are lost a bit with Hiller. Against their own division they are so so, but they don't take advantage of the weaker teams in the division. That will happen when you are a defense first team that doesn't score enough goals through large stretches of the season. This season the Kings are not so good on the road. Last season it was at home, so go figure.

That was one ugly win. As soon as I think we can get comfortable, Kings crumble. Rittich definitely let some soft goals in. I still can’t wrap my head around Danault’s decision to watch the puck at the blueline that led to a goal. I’ll need to watch the highlights. I’m a little uneasy on how they perform in the playoffs with games like these. Added pressure, added importance.
This is just a throwaway game. King's can't tighten it up & rely on goaltending with Rittick in net this year. That's fine. Have a crazy game. Kuemper is going into the playoffs.

Good news is we don't have to play most these teams in the playoffs.

Man Rittich is such an awful goalie. The fact they call No Save Dave, “Big Save Dave” is insulting to our vision.

I've always felt the nickname was intended to be ironic.

One of those nicknames that's the opposite of the obvious. Like "Little John" in Robinhood is actually a big dude.

Maybe it's time for Phoenix Copley to get another shot. His numbers in Ontario aren't stellar but they're better than Rittich's. Different leagues yes but probably worth a try at this point.
Copley was bad in his game with LA this season. His stats last season (.870 sv%, 3.16 gaa) were much worse than Rittich's stats (.885 sv%, 2.75 gaa) this season. Rittich has a 87.77 sv % in his last 5 games while Copley has 86.67 sv% in his last 5 AHL games. 2022-23 Copley doesn't exist anymore.

Yea I'm thinking Copper might be cooked after his injury, but I'm almost positive Portillo is an upgrade over Big Sieve Dave. Shades of Stephan Fiset out there, or Jason Labarbera 🤮
