6.4 AAV estimate on Gavrikov? Blake gunna get a wakeup call.

These 2 should be our future. Doughty should be elsewhere. Gav should be traded. How many more one dimensional dman should we carry. Anderson is one of the worst defenseman in the O zone I have saw in years. Moverare does nothing offensively, Gav stands people up on the blue line but is not an offensive threat. I just don’t see what people love about Spence. For a two way undersized dman I don’t see a lot of offense.

Saying that the coaching staff would staple Makar’s nutsack to the bench if he tried anything fancy or not systematic.

Get a new regime that doesn’t think it is 2005.

5 losses to last place teams, getting smoked again to a team as one writer put it, isn't even trying to win is pathetic! Do we even have coaches who prepares them anymore for trap games like these?

I have a theory on why the Kings are awful on the road. Hiller doesn't get his favorable match-ups on the road, as he gets out coached by the home teams coaches. They are somehow a playoff team at home and a non playoff team on the road.

Losing 5-1 to the bottom dwelling Hawks is absolutely inexcusable! Something else I have noticed is this team doesn't even play well anymore even if they score the first of the game! Hiller's system is starting to fail in the 2nd half of the season, when going gets really tough!

Not for 7 minutes a night.

With Rittich in free fall and Kuemper on permanent injury watch, I would rather they dress three goalies and keep one in the room just in case than play any defenseman that little.
Anyone with a common sense sees Rittich is playing his way off this team with his awful performances in net. They really need to give Copley another go at it or acquire another goalie to backup Kuemper.

They were finally coming around looking like a fun exciting up and coming team at one point this year. It started getting flat when Moore and Lewis came back.
That was more coincidence than anything, since those happened at the same time Kopitar's wheels fell off.

No depth player ever means as much as a #1c being unable to produce at even strength AND on the PP. THAT is the primary reason for the teams struggles, not what the third or fourth line are doing.

Copley hasn't regained form since his last injury, unfortunately.

The best case is always to have a young homegrown kid able to come in for a stretch, but they are a year away from Portillo being that kid.

Why would you even say this? No one in the world thinks Portillo is better than Knight. I dont know if anyone on here is too impressed with Portillo.
Their ages are comparable. While Knight was drafted in the 2019 draft 1st round #13, Portillo was drafted the same year in the 3rd round #67(basically top of the 3rd round). Knight has actually been a bit of disappointment for where he was drafted. Hard to surpass Bob in Florida right now, so Knight's future is better clear with the Hawks. Bedard/Knight are core pieces going forward for them.

Portillo didn't workout with the Sabres because they already have good goalie depth in their system. Portillo became an opportunity for the Kings, but Portillo's development this season has been puzzling with the strong season he had last year.

LA has performance issues with Kopitar, Danaut, Moore, Lewis and goalies, again.

Their coach is very primitive and has no imagination.

This team will go really far in playoffs if they will make it.

P.S. I am not fan of Moverare and Spence either…

Hiller sucks.

Burroughs Breakdowns!!!!
Burroughs Goals Against Per 60!!!!
11.46!!!!!!

7 shifts & 5:14!!!! Very respectable game from Burroughs.

The fact blake traded Grundstrom for Burroughs- the worst statistical player on the worst team in the league when the Kings already had a glut of defensemen- then kept him on the roster and ended up Waiving Kaliyev should have been the last straw as his GM tenure. The fact hes playing Burroughs over Clarke just the height of absurdity. Burroughs is an AHL dman who for some reason the Kings felt warranted a roster spot. There is no world in which this move makes any sense.

So he essentially acquired the Zack MacEwen of defensemen. I don't know if there is a GM who has made more pointless trades than Rob Blake.

So the Kings have Erecrtile Dysfunction? That's an easy fix!

For me, the most frustrating part about this team is the fact that they actually could have a pretty damn solid team if they just played the right players / deployed players correctly.

These guys were dominating earlier in the season when they were playing Clarke, Thomas, Helenius, and Lee.

Lewis returns from injury, Doughty returns from injury... and we get worse. Funny, it's almost like this team is better when they utilize young players who can actually skate as opposed to 35+ year old vets who can barely keep up with the pace of play in today's NHL.

Clarke should never sit again.

Moverare should be the 7th d man (he plays if they run 11/7 or if there's an injury). This is nothing against Moverare - we just need Clarke playing and we know no one else is coming out of the lineup.

No more Edmundson-Doughty pair. And bring Doughty's minutes down into the low 20s so you can spread out the ice time and ensure Clarke gets at least 14+ mins a night.

Get Danault off PP2 and play both Clarke and Spence on that unit (along with Byfield, Moore, and Foegele). Let Akil Thomas play some damn games.

Do those things and this team is instantly significantly better. Then you trade for a scoring winger and a 4C with size and the team becomes even better. Adding a right shot scoring winger wouldn't just improve our top 6 and PP1, it allows them to move other players down the lineup to improve depth. Say you add a guy like Rakell (for the sake of the hypothetical).. All of the sudden your PP units go from:
PP1: Laferriere, Kopitar, Kempe, Fiala, Doughty
PP2: Byfield, Moore, Foegele, Danault, Spence

To...
PP1: Rakell, Kopitar, Kempe, Fiala, Doughty
PP2: Byfield, Laferriere, Turcotte, Spence, Clarke

So much deeper and more skilled than what we're currently doing.

Then you add a 4C with size (let's just hypothetically say Kevin Stenlund from Utah) and instead of Lewis playing 4C / running 11/7 you can actually roll 4 lines and have a 4th line of:
Jeannot - Stenlund - Lewis (with this line ideally only getting about 8 mins a night)

It could really be that simple if we just had a management group / coaching staff that was half competent.

Instead we have to watch them constantly f**k it up and we're left feeling like Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting watching the professor who SHOULD know more than us struggle with a math problem we've already figured out. It's unbelievably frustrating.
