I was impressed that LA was able to push back when it felt like Vegas had taken over the game.

Moore is a solid player when healthy. I don't understand why he gets so much criticism around here. He only makes 4.2M.

Incredible pass by Byfield on that Foegle goal.
He's got 10 goals, half which are empty net. Kings biggest need is offense, him and danult are odd man out. If he played like last year nobody would be saying a peep

The Kings need players like Moore to grow adult size balls come playoff time of they want to win a round.

I don't even care what kind of numbers any of these players put up the rest of the way. The focus going forward needs to be figuring out a way to steal a series from Edmonton or Vegas.

How ?

Four pages back I read this was his worst game in a while.
The first half the game he was on the wrong side of the puck and took two penalties and made a bad decision on a back check that led to a goal. Then the second half he was awesome.

He was pretty bad this season but is getting some of his touch back. Hes still really soft on the walls this year though and was in the playoffs last year also.
My thing with a lot of the criticism and deadline scenarios is people want to move him in deals that would be lateral moves.
Rakell is an upgrade but Palmieri and Armia are not. Seems like hes well liked in the lockerroom so if they do move him they have to make it worth while. Id wait for the offseason to think about him and Danault.

Edmonton is not a threat but Vegas just keeps getting players for nothing...Saad...Howden,paid almost nothing for Hanifan and Lehrer is racking up Millions in debt at all the Casinos waiting for his turn, of course he has to rid himself of the worst case of Jock itch this side the Great Divide otherwise known as the Marian Hossa case point...FKC Vegas and FKC Edmonton

Both have outplayed Kopitar in 2025.

Nobody ever wants to call out #11, but he has been dreadful over the past 20 games. Very difficult to succeed with a tired, ineffective top line center playing a third of every game and in all key situations. That is a far bigger concern heading into the playoffs than streaky third liners.

What a game (or more accurately, what a 3rd period) last night.

22-55-9 needs to stay together.. That line was absolutely disgusting in the 3rd period. Just a ridiculous amount of speed and skill among those 3 players.

It's rightfully time for Kopi to slide down the lineup a little bit - nothing wrong with that at his age. I like the idea of Kopi and Laf playing together. Laf is a really smart and hardworking player who can create and drive play on his own.. Could definitely help Kopi especially if it's in a 2nd or 3rd line role where the goal is just to provide some depth scoring and play responsible defensively.

Wouldn't mind seeing Foegele - Kopi -Laf as the 2nd line for a bit but then again Foegele - Danault - Moore was looking pretty promising too. Maybe Turcotte - Kopi - Laf for a few games? Turc and Laf are both high energy players and have shown to have chemistry together before. I'd be interested.

It would be madness to go away from 22-55-9 with how they played to finish out that game. Madness.

This Kings team is legit. Coming from behind to beat Vegas in the 3rd period is a VERY rare sight. Vegas is now 15-3-1 against the Pacific division with 2 of those 3 regulation losses coming from the Kings. This team battles and is never out of any game. 26-0-2 when they score 3 or more goals... That's insane. Essentially, if they get the offense, they win. Seems like a no brainer to add another goal scorer to this forward group to help give the offense a little added boost.

I wouldn't be concerned about the GOAT LA King he's going to get it together soon enough

Not every player on a team is big scorer.

He's dragging down Kempe also.

I concur but what RWinger and for how much? Greentree our 1st rounder this year, both? The Devil is in the details...I like Sprong a natural goal scorer and RWinger who scores off the leftside regularly and is a PP specialist...and it won't cost much...wonder who the Pro scout on the Kings cause they missed the boat the first time hope they don't make the same mistake

that was nice!

5-2! Fiala just undressed that dude and went top shelf!
Pietrangelo and Samsonov are still looking for their collective Jocks

That's the tough part.

For the last couple weeks we've been assuming the Kings need to acquire someone who can play LW1 with Kopi and Kempe. Has that changed with the emergence of 22-55-9? Too early to tell but it would certainly make things interesting.

Would a guy like Tuch, Rakell, or Boeser still be a target? Or does the emergence of 22-55-9 mean the Kings can go after a smaller fish? Honestly, even if 22-55-9 ends up being the Kings new 1st line, it seems pretty clear the Kings could still use another top 6 forward - Otherwise they have to depend on a Turcotte, Moore, Foegele, or Jeannot finding consistent success in the top 6, which I don't feel great about. Would still love to add a player like Tuch. That would give the Kings a top 6 of: Kempe, Fiala, Byfield, Kopitar, Laferriere, Tuch... That's a really really good group of top 6 forwards.

Sprong doesn't do much for me. You're right that he would be cheap and he fits the mold of right shot goal scorer but the Kings would probably need to add someone who can play up in the lineup - likely 2nd line or potentially LW1 if 22-55-9 doesn't stick. If Sprong is in your top 6, that's probably not a great sign.

Re: cost. No way I'm trading Greentree unless it's part of a package for a very good/star-level young NHL player. The 2025 1st round pick I'm less tied to but with the Kings hosting the draft I still find it unlikely - maybe they don't care though. Basically: I'll trade a first if it means adding a guy like Tuch or Boeser (with extension in place or at least highly likely). If it's for a pure rental and/or a middle 6 winger, no 1st.

Notice the game scores trending up over time.

This is his first time playing center in the NHL.
