Thank f*** this dismal road trip is over, they're never going to allow the dads to accompany them ever again. Fiala with his best game all year. I can't believe Moore and Danault scored in the same game, rare. Still can't say I'm stoked on our future until Blucgevin get canned, but I'll take a win.
Dad’s only there for 2 games. I think it has more to do with the NHL has caught up to our predictable game structure and our vets are dog tired.

I mean, while it's easy to point to the Hurricanes having an illness, the Kings can only work with what they have in front of them.

Good win in the end. No need to diminish it, but also no need to make more of it than what it is.

They played more with purpose, not as much as they could or should have, but better than the previous two games, Fiala had his best game of the season tonight, took it to the net, and...what do you know, scored.

Amazing what happens when you get to the net, Moore's goal, got to the net....scored, go figure.

They are definitely grooming Byfield to take over for Kopitar, tonight played against Carolina's top line, last game, against Tampa's top line, it's been happening a lot this season......

Well, it's not like they played particularly well either, gave up a bunch of dangerous chances, and were saved by no fewer than at least three posts.

They did win but there wasn't much encouraging or different about their play other than the fact that some guys seemed more confident in their shots.

Like I said, I'm reserving judgment for the game after this one...a little hard to go 'yay' when the only wins and games with more than 2 goals were against a reeling Van team that was just about to dynamite its roster and a clearly stupidly sick Carolina team. Get at least 4 of the next 6 points at home before the break with convincingly better play, and I start to lay off some of the criticism. But I didn't see anything tonight beyond fortune that would lead me to believe this team isn't up shit creek. If anything, it might be the opposite, with Doughty's shadow now looming over the team.

But yes, they did get their result, so we pack it up and see if that's a turning point in the right direction or if it's just a sheet of toilet paper on a shotgun wound.

1-3-1 road trip. Only Rob Blake thinks this combo means success.
they were right there in all the losses

But seriously, Fiala had one of his best games of the season. Danault/Moore line was pretty effective two games in a row now, not looking completely lost in the offensive zone.

Kings wins just aren't as much fun without the DM's I am sadly no longer going to be receiving after each one. I just instinctively looked up expecting the envelope notification to have that red number next to it, and nothing! :(

Anyone willing to jump in and fill the void?

This one I would have gotten something like...

"You still think this offense isn't good enough to win a cup?" or "Let me know the last time Faber had a 2 goal game"

They are good points though

Watching Doughty look old and slow is kind of depressing.

Makes me feel old too. I remember when he was an 18 year old kid making his NHL debut.
