GDT: 2024-25 season game 49 LA Kings vs Tampa Bay Lightning @4:00pm 1/30/25

I think all these road games has caught up with the team. February has a bunch of home games and hopefully they get a 2nd wind.

That's basically every team....they have players hit walls, they have players that slump, Tampa, including tonight, 10 goals in the last 5 games....obviously better than LAs output in the past 5 games....but teams go through slumps.

Again, same personnel in the beginning, things changed, they got complacent, that's the difference.

100% part of it, and the non-willingness to get to the areas they need to be is definitely part of it, what I said about the FL game, they played, but no will, no desire, no emotion,

A bit better tonight, but not nearly enough.

Ultimately what it comes down to is you think they have it in them and I don't. But if they have it in them and can't actually show it on the ice when it matters (stopping a late season slump, winning a playoff round, etc), then that's the same thing as not having it in them

Agreed, and yea, they have it in them, they've showed they have it in them, but when it counts, it has to come out, or WTF are you doing, 100%, and the past 10 games, have been f***all effort, waiting for someone else to step up, waiting for someone else to get to the net, not one player can do it alone, but by god they are all trying to make someone else do it alone because not one of them has the balls to take the punishment needed to get to the net, f*** you don't even have to be successful, but one drive to the net, and then say well, I tried.....that's not gonna get it done.

And at this point, it's on Hiller for either not recognizing it, or not being able to convey that message....and I get it, it's a tough as hell league, it is NOT easy to score goals in that league, but you aren't gonna accomplish anything if you sit back and wait for it to get easy

I haven’t watched a single game this season. The “we were right there” press conference did me in. That, and well, taking care of a baby. I just come by here from time to time to gauge how things are going and it sounds like Groundhog Day. I gotta say, it feels good to be on the sidelines. Change won’t happen until more people do this.

Lmao word gets around fast. Yeah Sol got banned because of the Mcdavid thread. He thinks it’s because he called him McDimwit which I’ll be using here from now on. No infraction or nothing, a quick ban till the end of February. Probably another Oilers mod quick to react. Axl can get banned forever for all I care.

He said he misses you guys too lol.

I didn't know he was banned. I was starting to worry something happened to him. I'm glad he's okay.
