Hiller went to the media after that game saying he didnt approve. Similarly Byfield made some riskier flashy plays in a game last week and Hiller pushed him down the lineup in the game and said he didnt like his game that night in the press. The organization has something against offensive play.

Have they made the decision on who is going to replace Pieterangelo in the tournament? Got to showcase Doughty because he wants to do it so badly, right?

This is why I hate these bozos. I have no problem with Clarke getting a break for a game or two if it were done smartly, but it never is. It’s always done as-stupid-as-possibly.

Dean inherited two young future hall of famers in Kopi and Quick, a young power forward in Dustin Brown, really good u-25 players in Cammalleri and Frolov and a player in Demitra he was able to flip for basically two 1st round picks.

The next GM is going to inherited aging, declining veterans with very little trade value and a bunch of mostly disappointing young players. The only similarity is the new GM will probably be able to flip Kempe for a pretty significant haul of picks/prospects.

Best case scenario for a quick turnaround is the new GM completely cleans house and overhauls the scouting and development staff and we hit a couple of homerun picks that are developed correctly. Chicago was a doormat franchise until they drafted Hall of Famers back to back with top 5 picks, it is possible, but realistically it will probably be a 5+ year cleanup from the mess Blake has left this organization.

Yup, once the PLD trade happened, we officially crossed the threshold of a Blake firing mattering short term. Prior to that, we had enough pieces that a Gm could trade and reshape as needed. But now, there are no assets remaining worth value and too many with NTCs/NMCs as well, and your 'youth' are now in their mid 20s. Absolute f***ing no mans land for a GM, unless they get carte blanche (Like Blake!) for 5+ years before they start getting even somewhat evaluated, no one worth anything is going to want to be here in ANY role, player or front office. Just a glance at the trade trees between like 2022 and now is f***ing depressing.

So much for the suggestion that it was a "wake-up call" to Clarke, nope, it wasn't a wake-up call, they just think the guys they have in give the team a better chance than their most gifted offensive defenseman does.

At this point, it's probably better to just be happy for Faber and Vilardi that they got out of this circus than to be mad that Blake traded them. He will have made both players likely tens of millions more than they would have gotten had they stayed with this archaic franchise.

Simply atrocious. My conspiratorial side has me thinking Blake purposely sunk this team because he's still bitter about getting traded after he tore the C off back in the day. Its an absurd idea to entertain but thought provoking.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: one of the worst moves DL made was bringing Blake back into the organization. Right now, it's his worst move.

With TB letting Stamkos walk the Lightning have not been the same...what a bunch of cheap aholes but then they sign Guentzel to a 9 M plus per contract go figure...but Brisbois took our GM to the cleaners for Jeannot when it was evident he wasn't worth a hill of beans past a 4th rounder our giving GM gives give a 2nd rounder in 2025...well thanks for F all RBlake
