FYI, Kings are only four points ahead of the last wild card spot, and have 5 points over Vancouver, who are 9th in the Conference. Kings are closer to 9th place than they are to the 2nd place Oilers.

They're not even doing enough to draw a penalty. This is the worst defense in the league and gives up almost 3.5 gaa a night.

Even against the worst defensive teams in the league the Kings are a threat to score 0-2 goals if they don't bring it 100% or don't run well "throwing pucks at the net"

Kempe is the only natural goal-scorer on the roster.

But I can't believe how terrible the d-zone coverage has been the last two games, you expect the inept offense from this team, but they are normally very good about locking it up. With the way they normally play D this would be a 2-1 Pens lead right now.

Losing to Pens and top goal man Rakell Rakell not in the line up oh man we are hurting

The Pens and Kings traded places tonight. Usually the score going into the 3rd is the other way around for the Pens .

They lasted about 2 weeks longer than last year, had most of us almost fooled, but the tailspin is on

11-7 is killing this team. Depth scoring needs to be better (Danault, Moore, Fiala). Burroughs and Lewis bring nothing to this team on the ice. Rittich is a major weakness right now! We need to either get a better backup goalie at the TDL or bring Portillo up.

This is an awful Pens team and the Kings are getting run out of the building.

They've had guys stepping up and going on a run at various times, Laf in the beginning started hot but cooled, Byfield for a while has now cooled, Foegle has been good but has cooled with Byfield. Danault and Moore has 3 goals each with a goalie in net, although Danault's been better on the defensive end. Kopitar is in his December swoon so Kempe is the only guy you can look to for scoring. Fiala is the other guy but it's looking like a lost season for him.

Danault looks absolutely cooked physically. You can still tell his d-zone IQ is still there, but physically it seems like he is on the 17th fairway as far as his career goes. A lot of miles on those tires playing a physically grueling style for a defensive oriented team.

I have no idea how they are putting this guy on the PP and at ES with guys expected to score, he is a bottom-six defensive center, nothing more.

Rittich is a backup trash. Can't be a backup in this league with a sub .890 SV%. I would take 41 year old Quick over Rittich!

Pens play very aggressive hockey. Guess who else plays that way, but is a far better team than the Pens. The Oilers! The defense first passive style does not work in the playoffs. I don't care if the Kings end the season with the best GAA in the league. If you can't score goals even strength and on the PP, then you will get knocked out in the 1st round.

29th PP in the league with no relief in sight...The Koala inherited 2nd best PP in the league.. Kane, Larkin, Raymond, Debrinkat, Seider.. Koala has a better chance winning a round than LAK if he can get them in

Hes playing so small in net like Cal was by the end. Any given shot you clench because it can beat him high or just go through him.
