He never got it together, he was lost the entire game. That's not to say others werent', but he was terrible, out of position, etc.

Fiala was fine, Jeannot was fine, Burroughs was fine, Moore was fine, relative to Turcotte, they were all stars.

Turcotte had a good game, followed up by a shit one, it happens, he needs to develop consistency, not sure what is hard to grasp about that.

Answer me this, why does everyone expect every player to play mistake free hockey? If that was the case, we'd be undefeated, no?

Everyone is so pissed about Fiala when the puck did puck things, it literally hopped over his stick, but idiots are acting like it was intentional or he can't play is f***ing stupid. He made some bonehead plays earlier in the game for sure, he also saved a goal or two and had 2-3 solid chances....it's called hockey.
Those guys were not fine. They all made mistakes. Turcotte and Lewis were the only ones to get benched for their mistakes and thats not right.
With Fiala the puck didn't do puck things. Thats nonsense and you know it. He constantly turns it over in the same spot over and over every single game. You knew it was gonna happen right before it happened.

Bullshit, you knew the puck was going to bounce over his stick? again, Bullshit....

And yea, they were fine....every player made mistakes last night, if you can't see that, you are letting your bias show.

Yea I knew and Im sure anyone else that watches the Kings daily knew Fiala was going to turn the puck over. You could see it unfold before it happened.
Those guys were not fine. They all made mistakes. Kopitar and Danault were guys that were fine. I have no bias towards Lewis and Turcotte I just dont see what they did as any worse than the others and when you shorten the bench to put out Moore and Burroughs its bizarre. I dont even have bias against Fiala. I really want to like the guy I really do. I have been going after him less than most people on here lately even. But last night on that empty netter its just so crazy hes even out there in that same spot again to make that mistake.

Let's do it this way,

On that empty netter, exactly WHAT mistake did Fiala make? Be specific.

Meh on the loss. There were a lot of errors from everyone and Seattle capitalized on them. It was the younger players' mistakes that were bigger this time though:
- Turcotte mishandling the puck on the zone exit led to goal 1
- Clarke misplayed the 2-on-1 on goal 2. Cover the pass and let the goalie play the puck carrier. Defensive fundamentals

Then from the second it was the older players with some soft play:
- Gavrikov not covering Stephenson

And then there's simply the empty netter.

Go home and try to take advantage of home ice.

Three assists for Kakko. 13 points in 14 games with Seattle since he left the Rangers. Almost as if the Rangers have a problem with young forwards.

With respect, you’re kind of illustrating that the youth are catching strays for vet mistakes, no justifying it.

Kempe threw Turcotte a hand grenade in the Kings’ high slot

Clarke didn’t end up defending a 2-on-1 for no reason

They made mistakes but vets enabled those mistakes and the kids got benched while Fiala was allowed to go back out there and literally hand over the game and Edmundson got to go on continuing pretending he’s Erik Karlsson

Not my intention of course, but I see how it cones across that way.

While vets enabled those mistakes with their own, these situations occur in every game. You always get 2-on-1s and errant passes.

The difference is Turcotte and Clarke were the essential last lines of defense for these mistakes that led to goals.

I tried not to pile on Fiala as enough was said on him. I also pointed out Gavrikov misplaying the third goal.

I agree, I’m just frustrated that the chain of events is inherently vet-driven but they’re completely absolved of responsibility while the kids get benched or honestly flat-out embarrassed by being removed from their natural position. That’s not your fault and I don’t think you needed to illustrate the whole chain of events; my point was that it also seems to be how Hiller is thinking, the ‘event’ was the kid mistake rather than any number of vet decisions that led them to be the last line of defense

Like honestly how insulting is it to Clarke that they’re like “oh you want to score? Go play forward” while now the last three games have featured an ill advised Edmundson jump into the zone quickly followed by a goal against (in at least the last two)

Cool we want to train good responsible players, good little checkers…but it doesn’t matter if our vets are, the kids HAVE to be. Moore, go for a swim in the corner. Joel, go ahead and pinch since you’re literally measurably one of the 10 slowest skaters in the NHL. Kevin, yes, it’s’ just beer league. Kyle, don’t even bother skating with the play, just swing your stick around and dump the shit out of the puck every chance you get. Trevor, go ahead and knee that guy you just passed to. What a f***ing mess of a game and both good and bad our coaching is more noticeable now that it has been since Willie D.

Edit: again not at you just venting

He mishandled the puck in the same area as he does a handful of times a game. Was he going to shoot or more likely a fake shot and do a toe drag then shoot. The puck bouncing on him is not really different than it bouncing off Turcotte stick on goal 1. Id cut Fiala slack but its just happening so much so often that they cant keep putting him there.
