Keep going another 2 or 3 more steps up the ladder : )We have a Fiala problem right now, but we have a much bigger Hiller problem.

100%. The failures of this team are unbelievably self inflicted. From bad formations to bad line ups to awful game managementKeep going another 2 or 3 more steps up the ladder : )
Like the Koala Hiller has a defensive system that gets solid 5x5 results... but is brutal in 5x4 just like before. It will get you to 3rd place or WC and a nice 1st round exit. Half way through the season and the PP system and personnel have been static w no sign of getting better.100%. The failures of this team are unbelievably self inflicted. you can tell he's too high on himselfHiller is definitely outsmarting himself, too cute.
Weird comment, but not surprised I guess. You'd prefer a coach that does not try new/different things when shits not working? I mean, didn't you have that with TM?92 on wing?
Hiller is such a clown. Way to make a loss entertaining.
Moving Spence to PP1 was a good adjustment to try to use his shot. Then Spence sat on the right point & Fiala sat on the left point where neither one was in a position to one-time the puck.Weird comment, but not surprised I guess. How do you know it was never tried in practice?Moving Spence to PP1 was a good adjustment to try to use his shot. Then Spence sat on the right point & Fiala sat on the left point where neither one was in a position to one-time the puck.
Clarke on wing is more a symptom of the 11/7 & limiting your choices at forward. Turcotte's benched or banged up & you're out of options.
92 was lost on the cycle. Maybe give him a few shifts in practice before tossing him out in a game. It wasn't working. Didn't help the shift. Just Hiller throwing stuff at the wall because his choices backed him into a corner.
Throw away game. Not worth the effort.
I know Turcotte is catching most of the heat for that first goal, but the pass from Kempe was the real issue there, IMO.Meh on the loss. There were a lot of errors from everyone and Seattle capitalized on them. It was the younger players' mistakes that were bigger this time though:
- Turcotte mishandling the puck on the zone exit led to goal 1
- Clarke misplayed the 2-on-1 on goal 2. Cover the pass and let the goalie play the puck carrier. Defensive fundamentals
Then from the second it was the older players with some soft play:
- Gavrikov not covering Stephenson
And then there's simply the empty netter.
Go home and try to take advantage of home ice.
Three assists for Kakko. 13 points in 14 games with Seattle since he left the Rangers. Almost as if the Rangers have a problem with young forwards.

That's true. It was definitely a bad pass from Kempe. But Turcotte didn't help as he kept coasting up and hoping he could just chip it out.I know Turcotte is catching most of the heat for that first goal, but the pass from Kempe was the real issue there, IMO.
Instead of a simple chip out up the boards, he forced a pass into the middle of the zone, 5’ behind Turcotte, who was surrounded by Seattle players. It was a brutal pass for Turcotte to handle, and he definitely blew the touch, but that play doesn’t have a chance to go poorly with a simple chip out from Kempe.
Go ahead and just keep that optimism primed for the inevitable first round bounce. We were so close
Who wouldnt want to be part of this?

#trollingWhen in a competition if your stated goal is mediocrity, you've already lost
Clarke was completely lost down low in the offensive zone as a forward. Had he played forward in practice, Clarke wouldn't be as lost. How do you know it was never tried in practice?
He had a bad first and then got it together. This argument doesnt hold up anyway when you look at who was out there.
How was Fiala tonight? How was Jeannot? He was skating in mud and got shifts through the end. How about Burroughs? Got burned and got away with a penalty and they kept putting him out there through the third. How was Moore? I like watching him shoot from the corner and miss passes to avoid contact.
Besides his penalty Lewis was better than all these guys tonight and had his legs going. Turcotte has been hot and you absolutely play him over any of these guys.
They need to see if Moore is still injured. He is not helping the team.
