There's a reason I've never had a Twitter or most other social media and only had a Facebook for a few years. Learned very quickly growing up my opinion on things is typically not in line with the majority.

I only use Discord because my game night friends used it during covid so we could still play. My brief time on the Kings sub-reddit was only due to one of my high school friends that moved to LA years ago, became a Kings fan in like 2010.

I realize I'm a middle age man and so I will always resent the passionate ignorance of youth... but the spaces on social media that have become "home base" for younger people agitate my mental and emotional sciatica.
