I have a feeling if they let Tampa touch up they would have awarded it, but since the delayed call went to the end of regulation I think the official just let it go.
Maybe. But with playoff tiebreaker rules, goal differential matters too, so that could screw a team over in the long run. If it's a rule and you call it than you should stick with the rule even if time runs out.

Lewis is a tremendous stationary defender, who generally makes good reads.

His body just cannot keep up the way it used to, his speed has entirely disappeared.

The guy still brings value to the roster, but there isn’t a world that exists in which this team should be taking shifts from Turcotte & giving them to Lewis, if the goal is to be better in the future.
Lewis always puts in a good shift and somehow stayed in the league for 17 years putting about 19 pts a season on avg. He doesnt even hit that much. So what does he do? I guess its his positioning and forechecking are great. He's definitely slowing down.. I dont see a hockey reason for him to be on the roster.

Trevor Lewis hasn’t been worth a f*** on the forecheck since 2016.

He brings value in a lot of places, but if the task requires foot speed, he is gonna let ya down.

Well you said he still had value.. so what is it, just the positioning? I recall last playoffs he was really good on the forecheck vs Edmonton..

He is a consummate professional, who is a solid PK option, and he is gonna give you an honest 4th line shift that’s gonna keep the puck moving in the right direction. He sets an example for guys towards the bottom of the roster that is incredibly valuable, as all 4 lines can’t be scoring.

His ability to be a part of a sustained forecheck requires two speedy players on the line with him, so he can make reads instead of forcing the issue.

I don't think we've played particularly well lately. Not generating much offensively, constant D-zone turnovers. Kopitar has looked old and slow.

These are the types of games you win towards the end of a good run.

Seems like the crowds at Crypto are getting better. That's nice.
No team wins them all, but good teams find different ways to win.

Blake has built a very good team. Hopefully they do more in the playoffs.

OK I got you he sets a good example and does things the right way.. but honestly I dont see that as adding enough value to keep him on the roster. Rather develop Helenius.. and then maybe give Lewis the start in the playoffs if they make it.

The losing streak is definitely around the corner. This wasn’t a game they should have won. They are barely shooting either.
Im not sure the wheels come off like they did last year when they went on that big losing streak. You could sense it was coming before it happened by the way they were playing.
These last few havent been the prettiest wins but they seem to be pulling in the same direction as a team and for the first time in Blakes tenure it looks like they are developing an identity.
I think theyll be pretty even keeled going forward and not have a real bad stretch. The defense has been too steady and goaltending has been solid when they need the saves.

I don't think they're going to fall off cliff like they did last year, but I'm seeing some red flags.
