The decline of Fiala's mental focus has been such a letdown over the years. The first year or so he made stupid mistakes but was making some brilliant offensive plays and making his flaws worth it, but these past two seasons his stock has been plummeting and it is clearly completely mental.
It's honestly sad because he is a pretty good guy, extremely active off the ice doing charity, seems like a good family dude and well-liked in the locker room, and has been known as one of the hardest workers in practice and training, one of the first on the ice and last off the ice and does a lot of work on his own and pays for extra training himself, but the results of it just elude him.
Turning into sort of a tragic figure. I hope he can get a handle on it and turn things around.

No. As you suggested earlier, Fiala is trying to get traded.. and of course they wont scratch him for Kaliyev due to the optics.. Blake should be looking to swap him for similar salary hopefully shorter term

This game is why hockey is now considered boring. No physicality and it’s 1-0 tight checking no passion hockey.. low scoring games used to be really physical.
