Good luck tonight guys! Anything for the higher pick, and firing Torts.

For fantasy purposes would you be able to give some insight into Fiala's play this season? Worth hanging on to?

The Flyer 5v5 xGF% is pretty good. But they have the worst goaltending in the league.

The Burroughs experiment is done. If Hiller can't figure it out Blake needs to step in & send him to the AHL.

If Blake doesn't handle it, they both need to be fired.

Fiala is garbage 5x5, by far the worst on the team - IIRC only 2 players in tonight's lineup will have fewer even strength points to start the game.

It’s nice to see the Ducks improving. They’re playing the Oilers harder than the Kings did. Outshooting them 2-1.

Seriously, you have a Fiala complex.

As soon as somebody asks about him or he does something lightly stupid in a regular shift, you already pop up. When he does score, you are nowhere to be seen.

Gotta agree with the Burroughs assessment, he arguably shouldn't even be playing over Englund if they're rolling 7 D. A b2b like today calls for some fresh blood like Kaliyev to gauge where he's at + give him some ice time. I'm also curious to see what he'll do after being out for so long. Sick of Burroughs though, Moverare makes him obsolete.

No, you just have some sort of complex.

Thats because the time that he is an idiot is career long and his scoring only lasts for brief intervals.
The guy belongs in the circus

Depends on the league and who else is out there.

Fiala's a talented player, but struggles to gel with players and makes some terribly braindead decisions, preferring to fancy plays to smart plays.

If your league has a category for powerplay points, I do expect him to get more points. But if you have other players available (or you want to pull a trade off with another person), it wouldn't be terrible to consider making a swap.

well if he could reduce his goal to stupid mistake ratio to even 1:1 he’d stop hurting the team and that would be a step towards reducing the justified criticism around here

Letdown game?

I would like to see some shenanigans so I can see Torts react behind the bench. Always entertaining.

I am surprised Foegele’s career high in points is just 40, if you watch him play.

I haven’t closely followed the games this season, but I see Foegle a lot in the scoresheet. I’m glad to see him doing well and especially with Byfield. Back when the signing happened, I saw a lot of “Good speed, low hockey IQ” comments from Oil fans. How has his play been in general?

Bland isn’t wrong.

Fiala is the player most detrimental to the teams success, by far. It’s not even close.

Can’t wait for that statement to be misunderstood by the “pts per game” watchers, but it’s the truth.

7th defensemen and 4th liners aren’t the reason why this team flounders when the heat is on. 8 million dollar one dimensional wingers who do nothing 5 on 5 are a problem.

Fiala is the highest-paid forward - and since Doughty hasn't played all season - the highest-paid player on the team.

He gets the most powerplay time of any player. He also has the second-highest offensive zone faceoff % of all forwards (1st is Jeannot).

Dude gets the most favorable circumstances both 5-on-5 and on the powerplay. Yet he has the worst plus-minus, fourth in team-scoring, and among the worst even-strength players on the team.

He's talented but limited, and for the highest paid player and favorable circumstances, he absolutely deserves the criticism he's getting if not more. Kopitar went through years of being criticized more despite producing more in less favorable circumstances.

It's hilarious that the best defense people have for Fiala is "you're just being a hater" or "player x is worse."
