The Oilers got worse in the offseason.

Broberg 23
McLeod 25
Foegle 28

Signed Skinner and Arvidsson. Both 32 years old. Re-signed Henrique (34) and Perry (39).

One of the reasons I was bullish on the Oilers is because they had a handful of younger guys like Broberg and Holloway on the cusp of breaking through while having low cap hits.

But wasting cap space on declining vets made Edmonton susceptible to a offer sheets. Thus they lost Holloway and Borberg for basically nothing because of it.

And they failed to address goaltending as well.
