Good game. Byfield starting to get more chances.

Unpopular opinion: Fiala has really toned down the bad penalties. He's also made a few defensive plays in the neutral zone the last few games. This is a huge step for him. He's crazy & no one knows what he's doing, but the guy just puts up points.

PP is horrific. Sure, 4 goal lead, but a clear breakaway? Felt like NYR was getting better chances on the last few PP. King's need to step up.

Kakko: really like his cycle game. Puck control & passing. He's not producing. That's good because he may be available. Good size too. Think he would work well on the King's.

Kings have bounced back well after bad losses this year. They've only been pointless in consecutive games once this entire season.

Feels like Hiller should get some credit for that.
+ the defense has been outstanding, and the breakout with a 1-2-2 has led to so many good scoring chances its a wonder why they didnt do it sooner. the team was freakin flying today

I think he's gonna be one of those guys that finds his game in his mid/late 20's.

Hard to believe he's only 23. Feels like he's been around for awhile.

I'd take a chance on him.

Goaltenders, while extremely valuable, should never be scheduled to become the highest-paid player. They don'tplay in every game, and their contributions are virtually limited to one half of the ice.

I know, there's a meta that if the team is confident their goalie will make a save, they can be more aggressive, but the team still needs to come back to support their goalie.

It's also why I'm fairly bullish on using a first-round pick on them, except if you have multiple picks.
I think you could argue the goaltender is the single most important player in determining the outcome of a game.

BUT, the difference between a solid goalie, and an top tier goalie isn't that big anymore. And even an average goalie can get red hot.

Conversely, the difference between a solid center and an elite center is a chasm.

Even when he was playing his best hockey as a King, he wasn't very popular around here. This forum has a type of player it really likes and dislikes, and Fiala is certainly not the type of player many here have a soft spot for.

I think he's actually slightly underrated at this point, he's struggled for sure, but sometimes people act like he's an AHL'er.

Thank you M. Secretary but we got a new regime inbound.

You guys had a gud run, kind of anyway.

White House names Karine Jean-Pierre new press secretary

Love it when some guys jump on the team or individuals and they promptly display their upside in an answer back type fashion.

As stated Fiala was needed on the Kings because our offense runs dry at times.

The stats don't lie but that don't change anything.

Hiller has done well with him and the team.

QB gonna keep building .

The Kuemper trade has looked like a nice clean up job on an exploded commode.

2/3 people around here are clearly extremely biased against him. To the point it gets annoying.
He's literally had to be benched multiple times by the coach this year. He had to be called out by Doughty last year.

How often does that happen to an 8M player? It's gotta be pretty bad for that to happen. The criticism can be hyperbolic at times (such is the nature of a message board), but mostly justified.

He's a forward Erik Karlsson. Give back as much as you get if not more.

There is a place for high event players in hockey.

But there's also a reason they rarely get by in the playoffs and that's because they are liabilities when the games tighten up and their teams can't hide them deep enough.
