Pre-season games don't go into the record books, at the end of the day they are just scrimmages that give them extra gate revenue more than anything else, like when European soccer teams come over here to play. There are numerous interviews with players across all different professional sports leagues who pretty clearly say how they feel about them. Heck, many NFL teams don't play their starters at all in pre-season, and the ones that do it's maybe a series or two for one of the games, and that league is doing just fine.

There's more to preseason than revenue. Even if some players don't like it, it helps players get their legs under them. Body checks and puck touches is part of the process to get inbgame shape.

NFL players get a lot of body contact and don't have the boards to absorb the impact. They are a lot more likely to get injured due to the type of contact they get. It's really not applicable or the same.
 
Right back to looking like the end of the Petersen era but fortunate to have no goaltending from the opponent.

4v4 and 3v3 continue to be horrific.

What a hit though.

Why does QB and Fiala need a good defensive forward? Because Fiala has no Defensive IQ. And no, Lewis is not the answer. Hiller has some adjustments to make. but the season is young and time is on his side

It isn't easy going from wing to center. I was a bit surprised how many people on this board made it seem like it was going to be a walk in the park adjustment, it's way easier going the other way. Just a lot more to worry about playing center, especially in a defense oriented system like the Kings. This is stuff he should have gone through 3 or 4 years ago.

He will gradually improve, but I don't think there is any chance he passes Kopitar as a center at any point this season. So because of foolish development decisions, a player you took #2 overall in the 2020 draft, probably won't be challenging to be the teams 1C until the 2025/2026 season, another wonderful development decision by Blake, Nelly and Muzz.

The guy is a pretty consistent net-negative for the teams chances of success.

It has no chances of changing with the leadership group on the roster, imo.
