I am just amazed that some fans are able to see more than management and scouting dept/staff . The dreaded 2020 draft for me by just watching videos of the prospects i was in awe with Stutzle’s skillset . His speed and on ice vision and capability to make plays at high speed had me comparing his offensive skillset to that of Patty Kane and I couldn’t wait to draft him and see him in a Kings uni.
I watched Byfield videos also and saw someone who was able to use his size to bully the competition where the players are smaller to get to the net and produce i knew his game wouldn’t translate well in the NHL and i was almost sure the Kings would take Stutzle who btw has taken his defensive game this year up a notch and is quickly becoming one of the games top elite superstars .

The woe’s continued because had we taken Stutzle and not Byfield on June 29 2022 we wouldn’t have traded Faber for Fiala as we would not need him having Stutzle and we would have Faber and not watch Spence literally provide nothing not even his so called forte “offense”.

Things would have shaped differently all in all and maybe we would have kept Vilardi whos hands in tight spaces and his PP prowess is something we sorely need .

Instead I remember Byfield first post after he got drafted was tagging Lebron James and Ant Davis with the caption “Taco Tuesday”. His ego and cockiness is more high than his actual skillset . I dont see Malkin as his ceiling like some claim i see more of a 2C with above average defense only capable of 55-60 points maybe 70-75 in a career year .

One draft choice dominoed into so many mistakes and potential lost . Id much rather have Stutzle , Faber and Vilardi than Fiala , Byfield and 1 year of PLD . Id wager Ottawa wouldn’t trade us Stutzle for Byfield + + and if you think otherwise than you’re one of those fans that allow Blake to stay in power with your naiveness and gullibility

We need a 2C because we need Danault to slot into 3C like we did with Stoll back in 2011/2012 and we took the next step when Deano acquired Richards . Man i miss Deano.

We need more from Q and we need Turcotte back as we were better when he was the 3C and not Byfield . And we need Spence benched. Rantanen was not supposed to beat him there for the game tying goal .

Kings can barely complete a pass all year. Just rim it around the boards in their own zone. Make soft passes in the neutral zone that either get picked off or not tape to tape, then in the offensive zone just throw an inaccurate passes through the slot hoping someone is there.
Their second goal tonight was one they finally connected but its been frustrating watching these guys most nights
