Laffy is becoming a stroke of genius by the coaching and training staff in a sea of questionable decisions and possible blunders. Obviously I wish him the best possible season he can have and to become the best possible player, but I am almost afraid if he keeps this up his next contract would end up like Moore's or more.
Love to see Laferriere earn a good/great contract

Clarke doing well is taking some of the sting out of the Faber trade. Also a nice bounce back game from Fiala. Kuemper made some impressive saves, don't miss Dubois AT ALL.

Bounce back from the entire team, they actually looked like they thought they had a purpose out there each shift, marked difference from the SJ game.

One thing that is clear from the start of the season, they are taking it to the net, and getting to the net.

Much better all around effort. Very happy to see Hiller not stick with the same old lines. Keep 55 at C and enjoy the ride. Yes there's going to be some bad days, but there's going to be some great days as well. Part of the process.
Top line looked improved with 55 off their wing. Curious to see how Turcs meshes with 11&9 and who'll stick there going forward.
Thomas needs to stay in the lineup.

I underestimated Laferriere's ceiling. Glad he's doing as well as he is.

Clarke's adjusting well. Funny that it was a week or two where people "saw nothing" in him.
I said whilst he was in college I felt there was a chance he’d end up being the best ‘Laf’ in that draft class… I was only half joking. I loved his trajectory through college and really liked his upside. I always felt he’d be a decent middle-six player that can play up and down the lineup. I’m no genius though as I also thought similar of JAD at one stage .

Surprise win and missed it because I was into the Dodgers awesome WS clinching win after being down 5-0!
Kuemper now 3-0-2! He's has a bit of the Copley effect from a few years ago, but an obviously much better goalie than Copley.
I do have to caution the win against Vegas. They were up against Samsonov, who can be a very polarizing goalie. From the highlights I saw, it was a bad goaltending game from him. Anyway, to put up 6 on Vegas makes up big time for the stinker against the Sharks.

Samsonov was so lost last night, it was really bad

Nice to see Clarke at PPG status and a ridiculous move on the Kopitar goal on top of it all. Anyone that was saying they didn't see it just don't know hockey: the upside on offense has been evident the entire time. The defense is never going to be Doughty level but he's on a different level when it comes to the offensive side of the equation.

As for not knowing hockey, Foegle has been great since I called him a JAG. Was he playing with Fiala the first few games? There's your answer.

Laf can't keep up this goal scoring pace but he has a motor and isn't afraid to get dirty. For a team trying to change its identity towards something hard to play against, he is a great fit.

Fiala wasn't great but it was good to see him respond to the scratch by flashing the skill on the power play goal. Thought that his line didn't play the greatest but if Fiala is in the lineup, you have to play him somewhere so stick him with a responsible guy like Danault.

Turcotte was awesome and I felt he gave that line the same type of juice that Byfield did: getting on pucks, always skating and always looking to facilitate. Can't imagine you change the lines up after hanging six goals on Vegas so I hope we see him there on Saturday.

Not a great fight but kudos to Englund for looking to stir it up early the night after the team put in a piss-poor performance. Thought the team played physical and with a sense of "don't care who we are playing, we are winning tonight" which isn't something you see much during the Bluc era.

Everyone loves to crap on Lewis, but he's doing everything he can to stay in the lineup. He was really laying the body out there.

Regarding hits, huge change from prior years and you love to see it: the top four in hits so far are forwards with Jeanot, Lewis, and Lee at #1, 3 and 4 respectively with an average combined ice time of around 10 minutes a game. A 4th line that actually gets in on the forecheck? What a concept. Would be remiss to not mention Laferriere is #2 on the team in hits. Stud start for him so far.

My theory is that the Kings had their Halloween party the night before the San Jose game and Vegas had their Halloween party the night before last night's game.

I know "small sample size" but one thing I do like about the Hiller era so far is that the team responds very well after losses.

One of my lasting memories of the Koala era is the rollercoasters of winning and losing
