3-2 loss for the Gulls, that was a tough loss as they were by far the better team in periods 2 and 3. Sprong got the GWG in OT, long range shot that I'm sure Clang would probably want back

Biakabutuka made his debut, and I found it interesting that Warren was paired with him (on his off side no less). Pretty big responsibility for an AHL rookie to be paired with a guy just up from the ECHL, but I think that shows how impressive Warren has been this season.

On Biakabutuka I thought he looked solid on debut, first period he was reserved and didn't extend much (no surprise there). But in periods two and three he started to push the play, and got involved. He's able to get into some nice positions thanks to his skating. Interested to see more of him, that offensive confidence is something the Gulls need on the back end.

Meyer-Mysak-Pasta continues to be the Gulls best line, just create so many chances each game. But more importantly, the offense on that line runs through Pasta's stick (and did again last night).

I've said this is a few times, but I really want to see improvements on the defensive side from Luneau. I know some people have said they aren't too concerned, but I'm concerned watching Luneau get beaten so easily round the outside by AHL level forwards. It happened at least three times in this game, which led to good scoring chances. He desperately needs to improve on that before becoming a regular NHL defenceman. On the plus side, I thought Luneau was very good offensively again, and you can tell he's beefed up as he throws his weight around too.

I totally forgot that we sent Dionicio to Swiss league, which opened up a d-man roster spot for BK to be elevated from the Oilers to the Gulls.

Knowing that Luneau's defense is still far behind and Warren is still in development, I do hope we sign RD Moore as soon as his season is done in the NCAA's.
