Spitting on a ref only gets you one game? Pretty sure it’d be 10-20 in the NHL. At 1 game, kinda seems worth it tbh.I guess he did spit on the ref!

The season ticket holder next to me also has Gulls tickets, and thinks Warren looks good but is a minimum of 2 years away. How has big Noah Warren looked? Is there any chance he’s ready for nhk duty next season? Or does he still need another full season with the gulls? I often mention one of zellwegger/lacombe needing to be traded to eventually make room for Solberg. But assuming gudas last season is next season, is Warren is eventual replacement? Or does gudas not comeback next season at all and is replaced by helleson?
I definitely don’t see it happening but I think it’s a possibility. Depends how much verbeek likes both helleson/Luneau I suppose. And ty for the info on Warren. 2 years away seems about rightThe season ticket holder next to me also has Gulls tickets, and thinks Warren looks good but is a minimum of 2 years away.
Are you saying we trade Gudas? I think that’d be very premature.
Hope so! Ty for the reportI'm very big on Warren (as I have posted throughout the season here) , I think he can be a shut down top 4D at the NHL level. His play has been impressive for a rookie. Good physical play and gap control. Not much puck skills but has an underrated ability of getting rid of the puck. His skating for someone of his szie is good too, not the fastest in the world but has good edge work I feel like.
I feel like he could be an NHL regular during 26/27 season if he keeps taking steps forward.
Who ideally is his partner ? Zelly / Minty / LaCombe ?I'm very big on Warren (as I have posted throughout the season here) , I think he can be a shut down top 4D at the NHL level. Zell seems to be the odd man out now imho. Verbeek when he first took the job, said with the new rule changes to hooking and infractions being called. It makes being a dman and small very hard. As soon as he said that, I remember feeling that drysdale and cam wouldn’t have futures on the team. Both are gone, zell is young and has offensive upside. But with lacombe and minty also having offensive upside, zell becomes the odd man out? Eventually Solberg who verbeek traded up for at the draft will need a spot as well. Verbeek doesn’t want players playing on their offsides so for those who say zell plays on the right. Doesn’t mean it’s something verbeek would like running long termWho

Luneau has added another assist and Pastujov is now 1+1, too.Luneau and Colangelo are both 1+1 so far tonight. Luneau has 12 points in his last 11 games.

I was optimistic about the team tonight seeing the thread only to find out they STILL lost 7-5.
The roster’s not great and McIlvane might be overmatched, but the goaltending has got to be historically bad. Astounding how terrible they are down there without Suchanek
I just wish McIlvane was developing these players, but the record shows otherwiseI was optimistic about the team tonight seeing the thread only to find out they STILL lost 7-5.

I don’t think the record of the Gulls should really factor in at all to anyone’s view of McIlvane, unless the primary thing one wants to see out of the Gulls is them competing for a championship every year rather than developing players for the NHL club. The best AHL teams are full of AHL lifers, they aren’t being led by their parent clubs top prospects. While I’d like to see the Gulls be competitive every year, as long as players are developing well that’s good enough for me. And because the Ducks have so many prospects down there by virtue of accumulating so many picks and prospects during the rebuild, there isn’t space to load up the team with the vets that will carry the team to being competitiveI just wish McIlvane was developing these players, but the record shows otherwise
If Suchanek was healthy, their record would look better. Maybe not a playoff team, but at least respectable. Their goaltending has been truly terrible (especially Dansk).I just wish McIlvane was developing these players, but the record shows otherwise

Mysak also has two assists. He has 13 points in his last 12 games.
