2024 25 Roster Thread 3 the Nations and after

I've seen more than enough to know Briere sucks.

I hope Lycksell is claimed; he's exactly the type of player that nicely fills out a bottom six. Being behind Deslauriers on a depth chart must be infuriating.
I'm old enough to remember that Deslauriers is a sunk cost and Briere had nothing to do with him.

(Despite the evidence that Briere was a driving force in why Deslauriers was here)

The league and players association have to do something equitable for both the player and the team for legitimately injured players. The current situation just isn’t working out. It’s too punitive for random injuries. There was nothing unreasonable about Ellis’ contract yet forcing a team to be handicapped for this long because of an injury this unexpected is not only hurting the team, but hurts the leagues drawing power as a whole.

None of that matters to the people making these decisions. It’s cheaper and attempts to curb “foolish” spending. That’s why it exists.

Remember, this is the league that thinks basic salary cap info shouldn’t be public. I believe they called that proprietary information at one point.

Guy has been JAG since he's gotten here but i'm so tired of these types of quotes from Torts while he passes the buck for his own shortcomings.

Pelletier has a future in Europe. At the risk of agreeing with Il Douche, he’s too small to check, not fast enough to overcome his stature, and has no offensive game. What’s to like? Oh yeah, he’s great in the room. Extension incoming.

No it doesn’t. That’s what LTIR is for

Lycksell has been on waivers for years now. Never been claimed as no team has ever shown any interest. Will that change? He is a nothing player you can find every pretty much every day. Do not agree he fills out a teams bottom 6. Seems like all the other NHL teams agree. He is a goof depth piece to have and great AHL player. Wonder if he re-signs?

Now if you want to make the argument he should be playing over ND, I will not disagree.

That is the argument.

Way down on the list of things to argue about. In the big picture it is meaningless.

Many say they want them to tank to put themselves in the best position possible to get a high pick. Then complain that ND is in the lineup. Does ND help with getting the best pick possible?
