I would like to see Richard-Laughton-Tippett, with the goal of keeping Tippett away from TK or MM.

Why didn't you post 24-25?

He's not a 70 point player. He got lucky with a few of his points, but the fact does remain -- he played very well in his 7 games with the flyers. He should still be on the roster IMO.
Agreed, he’s not a 70 point player, but he was playing better than many of the Flyers other forwards. Both Tippett & Laughton should be sitting over him, they’ve been horrible.

They are 22nd in point percentage, with 11 eastern conference teams in front of them.

I think they haven’t been playing as well as the could be, but they need to turn it around quickly.

They're also going to need to outscore goaltending which will be difficult for them, since our goalies tend to bleed an extra goal half the time.

You realize the Flyers are only 2 points out of a PO spot.
They're not giving up on this season quite yet.
If Ersson gets healthy they have a legitimate shot, doubt they're going anywhere with Fedotov/Kolosov.

Buffalo 23, Boston 23, Flyers 21, NYI 21, CBJ 20, Detroit 20 - fighting for 2 spots
NYR 25, FLA 25, TB 24 aren't exactly out of reach
I thought they weren't concerned about making the playoffs. After all, you said that Torts understands and has said it roughly a billion times.

Is it that they actually DO care about making the playoffs?

It's November 26th. Why even bring up these point totals?

Still believe he has a place in the lineup over… Brink and Farabee right now, both those players need to wake the F up. Farabee seems to be turning a corner, I think Brink got jerked around too much this year to hit a real flow. Also the way Tyson is getting deployed right now he might as well go to the AHL and get big minutes, it’s kind of a disaster, but I think Richard earned a spot in the here and now.

It's very simple. Scratch Laughton, who actively makes the team considerably worse at 5v5.

Just took a peak at Seeler’s numbers this year. Yiiiiiikes. It was predictable but this early into the extension is rough.

Seasons in descending order.

What's particularly concerning is that the only thing he rates well in anymore is PK duty. The 5v5 stuff has completely disappeared.

I would have been so happy for the guy to sign that contract anywhere else after toiling through the minors for years. They can't even give me that much joy.

It's amazing we hear they would rotate prospects through during a rebuild to see if they can play. Then when one shows promise the minute, no second, they can find a way to banish him back to the AHL they do so without figuring out a way to keep him in the NHL and rotate players that he's better than out so he can play and sit in a logical plan rather than just throw him back in the AHL and hand wave that he got a chance.

It doesn't help that we don't have a single writer/media member that would call them on out on stuff like this. The Flyers can get away with whatever they want in this city.
