BRIERE: We’re looking to trade Frost. Just like you want, John.

TORTS: Trade Frost? No, no, no. He’s too important to my plans to trade.

BRIERE: ….

TORTS: We need him to purge the evil spirits from our Culture. Have you ever heard of the game, “Skin the Fool”?

What would Flyers fans think of a Ridley Greig for Tyson Foerster swap with Ottawa?

Greig had a really nice year last year, but he was able to play his natural position of C due to injuries. This year with Stutzle, Norris and Pinto all healthy, he's been moved to RW and hasn't been nearly as comfortable.

Ottawa is committed to those 3 down the middle and could use a natural right-shot winger to play in the top 9.

Foerster could get a better crack at success here, whereas Greig could shift back to C in Philly. From the rumors they've been interested in him before, plays a "Flyers style" of game.

I would have zero interest. It would be a non-starter.

But the Flyers being interested wouldn't surprise me at all, so I can't exactly call it nuts. I could see it happening.

I suggested it October 9th, but with the game vs the hawks fresh I would like to revisit one of my posts in the previous roster thread.

Lukas Reichel is likely still available for the right offer. Should the Flyers trade for him? High Skill, High IQ, Center, Young. I think they should. He definitely looked pretty good against the Flyers today

Greig would be a good addition but not for Foerster without a significant sweetener.
He's got above average speed, is feisty but ceiling is 3C.
A depth role player.

Not sure if you’ve watched Greig, but his skating is pretty average. He’s got deceptively good hands though, can dish the puck, and is a dick on the ice.

I’d say his upside is a good 3rd line C but one who can play on any of your PP units and contribute, which would get his point totals above that of a typical “depth” player.

Nice shout by @CanadianFlyer88 Risto looked great today

Eye test matches the underlying numbers - which are also great today.

Signed for 2 more years, if you believe the recent reports about teams inquiring on him after seeing a positive bump in his play lately…Good signs.

Maybe they can get a positive return and we can see Drysdale, Grans, and Andrae in the lineup no questions asked.

Congratulations to Ristolainen for moving from "We can't trade him because he doesn't play well enough for his contract" to "We can't trade him because he is too good."

Everyone here knows I'm a Reichel fan, but I'm not sure he's a center in the NHL, TBH. However, if we're gonna move Frost, may as well get someone who has done it with terrible line mates and give him a chance

Save percentage is down but shots per game are also down at pre-2004 levels.
I wonder if this reflects the realization that Corsi was a proxy for scoring chances, and teams started focusing less on shooting and more on improving the quality of scoring chances, both shooting closer and getting bodies to the net.

Based entirely on feel from what I have watched this season it seems like teams are working harder to maintain control until they can produce high danger shots. It seems like there is a lot less "getting pucks on net" then there was say 5-10 years ago.
