2024 25 Rockford Icehogs Season

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Zach Sanford is en fuego...7g 10a +10 in last 10GP...has he changed roles from 4th line checker to 1st line scoring threat and playmaker?

They've both played a lot on the powerplay.

You can't have a 5-on-3 with Nolan Allan on the ice QBing it and Korchinski and Levshunov on the bench. I think they had another 5-on-3 in a highlight pack I saw in the next game and Allan was QBing that one too. Why would neither of your future PP QBs be getting those opportunities? Why are they going to a kid who -- and I like Allan -- projects as a bottom-pairing PK guy?

In the recent one they were 2 mins into a 4 minute PP when the second penalty was called, so the first unit was gassed. Maybe a similar situation for the first one?

I don't have any idea tbh. Was hoping someone would chime in with some context. I know in both highlight packs, what appeared to be the first unit of forwards was on both times (Athanasiou, Guttman, Seney, et all). Seems more like a coaching choice to have Allan out there than Korch/Lev both being gassed.

I'm telling you, Korchinski is on the "first" unit and Levshunov on the "second" unit (both units play pretty equally). I'm not sure what the exact context was that you were looking at as to why that might have been the case that neither was out and Allan was in but what you saw was not a common configuration.I recall at one point there was a 5 on 3 situation where both Korchsinki and Levshunov were out there, so perhaps it was the other side of that when they had come off.
