ETA2: Poulin gets a second chance in the shootout, and scores the only goal in extra time for a 4-3 victoire @ Place Bell.

I only got to see the last half of the 3rd period & OT & S/O in Laval, so I can't say much about the competition. But here are some tangential comments ...

1. The Charge jersey logo doesn't look oversized ... over the goalie's chest protector ...
2. Following the chat scroll on You Tube at several points in the late 3rd period was dizzying. The highest # of viewers that I saw posted was 9.2k, which doesn't seem too bad for a Saturday night crowd of U.S. (and overseas?) followers watching two Canadian teams play on the first day of the season.

Two games on the PWHL slate for Wednesday, both with puck drops @ 7 PM EST: Frost @ Fleet and Sirens @ Victoire. Waiting for the Pre-Game Primers to release, somebody must've slept in.

Sirens come away from Montréal with a 4-1 victory. NY had a 2-1 lead when they took a penalty with 3 minutes left in regulation. Victoire pulled Ann-Renée Desbiens to bring on a 6th skater, but Jade Downie-Landry scored an ENG to stifle any MTL comeback. Sarah Fillier had a 3-point night (2G-1A) for New York.

The other Wednesday night matchup was also won my the visiting side, a 2-1 victory for the Frost over the Fleet. MN forward Dominique Petrie scored the GWG about halfway through the 3rd period.
